Absolutely AMAZING!! Really felt bad for him. I love the way you described the way a twelve year-old thinks, and went into great detail with comparisons between Hogwarts and the Parlor. You also described his feelings very well and showed how well he could read his mother.
Keep up the good work!!

I felt sorry for Sirius in this, his mother isn't a nice person at all.
The description of the rooms and the way Sirius felt made me really feel like I was in the story with him, feeling what he was feeling and seeing what he was seeing.
You wrote this story beautifully and you described the Black family/household how I imagined them and it to be.
This was an extrememly good read.

This is wonderful and the perfect idea for a one-shot! Sans a couple of little errors this was one of my favorite short stories. The idea was fantastic and a perspective that's not looked at often enough! :)

Wonderful little one-shot! I loved how Sirius was portrayed, especially how he is like two different people, the school boy and the Black child. Great job!

I really liked this, very discriptive. Really enjoyed his take on life in his home during his childhood and all that jazz.

this story is brilliant. It not only shows sirius' dislike of his home life, but it also shows it in a way that, i tink, everyone can realate too, not just deeply torubled teens or orphans.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! And, thanks a lot to everyone who has reviewed so far. You all totally rock my multi-colored socks.

Wow. I saw this story featured on the front page and I liked the desciption so I read it. Wow, I really really really loved this. I love the innocence of Sirius yet he also has the slight knowledge of his mother's true actions. I love it at. You did a brilliant job. It made me feel sad for him too... especially near the end. Good job!

Author's Response: Thank you very much. Wait a minute, this story is featured on the front page? *this* one? Where?

Wow! Really well-written, and convincing. Some lovely description here, and an accurate characterisation - imo - for the age of Sirius.

Fantastic. A spectacular chararacterization of Sirius. This is extremely high praise coming from someone who finds Sirius as her favorite character to both read and write about. You did an excellent job at paying attention to his age: a twelve year. The image of Sirius standing before a stuffed house elf is endearing and lasting. You also have a distinctive style of writing that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I've added this piece to my list of favorites. Well done! Keep writing!
