So I was just telling you how I wanted more Hugo in my reply to review... and then I realized you had a whole one shot dedicated to him - I was super excited to say the least! hehe

I love the differences you created between Rose and Hugo. Rose is bright and intuitive like her mother, and Hugo is a little slower but still really kind like his father. When Rose tells him “Hugo, you can’t just ask something like that.” I literally had Hermione’s voice going, “Honestly, Ron, haven’t you ever read-” and the nostalgia gave me all the feels!

I love how Hermione uses this opportunity to teach them a powerful lesson – not only about being kind to others but not letting others opinions dictate who they are. I think that’s exactly how she would have been as a mother.
Very well done!

Author's Response: Oh hello! So nice of you to drop by. I forget about this story quite a bit, to tell you the truth.

I kind of wrote this on a whim, tbh, but I'm so glad you like their characterizations. It's just what came out naturally, so I'm glad that it was believable.

I definitely agree with you about Hermione. She and Ron have been through so much with the war and at Hogwarts that they'd definitely teach their children to be strong and independent.

Thanks so much for the surprise review! ♥

Um, how dare you write something new and not tell me about it?! How long has this been hiding here?!

Gah, my heart is like three times it's usual size. You pack a powerful message into a story so small, and it's wonderful. I know it was the prompt, but I love how it's a child of Ron and Hermione's who asks about the word, since they have first hand experience of the emotional damage it can do. I love how they turned the explaining of the word into a lesson for them to grow up to be strong, and stronger than the words others call them.

Side-note: Their very own Granger-Weasley clock! *heart eyes*

Wonderful writing once again, Jillybean ♥

Author's Response: Is it bad that I forgot about this story? Because I totally did which is probably why I didn't tell you. I literally wrote it in like two hours.

Aww I know! I really liked that aspect of the prompt and thought it worked well with their relationship dynamics.

Of course the Weasleys can't be the only Wizarding family with that sort of clock! :D

Ohhh this was so sweet! I loved Rose's little comments and the way you wrote Hugo speaking. Short, sweet and very well done!

Author's Response: Aw, thank you! I wrote this on the fly for a challenge, but I'm so glad you liked it ♥
