Review #1, by Dirigible_Plums It's only just the beginning

4th August 2016:
FIRST OF ALL: I AM SO SORRY THAT THIS REVIEW IS SO LATE.

It's really weird because this entry has been ticked off my checklist AND I have notes about it?? So I don't understand how I didn't review it, but c'est la vie as they say.

This was an interesting one shot to read, especially because I have perpetually wondered why Regulus didn't tell Kreacher to make sure both of them make it out alive. After all, he was aware that Kreacher could bypass the enchantments so it was possible. Maybe he didn't think that it was possible for him to be taken along for the ride or something; regardless, it's interesting to see what the consequences of this change of events already is.

I sympathised with him SO MUCH during the flashbacks. This line in particular "Didnít Sirius know that he only pretended to do and believe what their parents thought in order to survive?" All he wanted to do was stay alive. All he wanted was his brother. He was just a boy!

(And now I want to cry...)

Okay, I have to admit that I laughed when you described Sirius' position upon Reg's entrance. It just seemed so Sirius - on the dramatic side, but cool. The mention of the fedora reminded me a little bit of the Mafia to be honest haha.

"He didnít know his brother had become such a dark person, but on the other hand it completely intrigued him to find out more." This sentence has also piqued my interest. I would love to know what specific experiences in the war has matured Sirius to this point.

What I'm really looking forward to is what's going to happen with Peter now that the rest of the Marauders know.

Thank you for entering this into the challenge! The results are going to come out, like, today.

Plums xo

(Also, can I say that the defences that they do have are ingenious? Death Eaters would never expect Muggle defences!)

Review #2, by princesslily_36 It's only just the beginning

23rd April 2016:
Hello Jenn!

I'm here with your prize review. Congratulations on winning the Alan Rickmann challenge.

Ooh, Death Denial, Regulus Black. You have me hooked right away. Ah yes, I wondered how Regulus would have figured out about the horcruxes - funny that Voldemort and Bellatrix led him right to it.

What's so heart wrenching is that Regulus' horrible memories consist of ones with Sirius. Sirius being mean, him idolizing Sirius... and later refusing the outstretched hand. I do feel sorry for Reg :(

But YAY, he survived! And Whoa, he knew who the traitor was? I'm liking the direction this AU is taking - Peter the traitor killed off and Regulus joining them instead.

I must say, it was an interesting approach, and I enjoyed reading it. Great work!
