Wow, you absolutely NAILED this challenge. I love the place in time you took, and I love how you approached it. It's sad that we don't get to see what our dear Snape went through during this time, and this really fills it in, to the point of being my new head canon. You get the sense of danger, along with the puppetry of Dumbledore, even from the grave.

This is really awesome, I need to check out more of your work!

Hello Frankie!

i'm here for the Alan Rickman challenge! Ahhh... I LOVE the banner! It's so beautiful and poetic and brings out the essence of the challenge. I could keep looking at it for ever!

Firstly, I loved that part about him being Lily's man through and through.

I never really thought of how guilty Snape would have felt carrying out Dumbledore's orders, knowing that it was Lily's son, the one she had died to save, who had to die now. I like how you brought that about, and Snape's Slytherin nature - using his intellegence and cunning in order to tweak the circumstances and manipulate the situation to get Harry to the end point Dumbledore had determined further establishes Snape's character.

Though I did feel that this story was more about Lily than about Harry, on second reading I understood that there was no way he would carry two pence about Harry if not for Lily. I get that he was afraid for Harry, but was he afraid that Harry would die, or that he would tarnish Lily's memory by aiding and abeting Harry's death in the hands of Voldemort?

This was a lovely read, and you incorporated the prompts in a creative manner! Good luck in the Challenge!
