Hello!

I'm here for the Alan Rickman Challenge. I know I wanted the entries to be Snape centric, I really appriciate that you took to time to write for the challenge. And after reading this entry, I'm honestly glad you did because I have to tell you how much I love this one-shot - despite that I can't consider it for judging (since Snape is the one who had to feel the emotion, not Tonks)

Reading Nymphadora Tonk's PoV was honestly so much fun! She's one of my favorite characters in canon, and I love how you wrote her. I feel both Tonks and Snape were quite canon here as well. I love the idea of her going over to Snape and asking him to teach her the Wolfsbane potion. I'd personally never have thought of it myself, but I think it's going to be my headcanon now!

Tonk's first class with Snape - of course he would have thought she was showing off! Poor Tonks! But he did let his dislike of the marauders extend to the way he regarded Tonks as well, and while that's not fair, that's the Severus we know (and love for the most part)

Having Tonks reach a point of calm and compose herself for Remus was one thing, but her empathy towards Snape when she realized he must be working hard as well is a great way to show exactly why she was Hufflepuff - sense of fairness. I really enjoyed that insight into Tonks' character.

I really really enjoyed this story, and with every word kept regretting that I couldn't award because I had to be fair to the other contestants. I'm still so glad you wrote it, and a part of me wants you to continue it, because I'm curious whether she really did learn to brew it or not :D

I would hope that Severus doesn't hold a grudge against Remus after all this time. Sometimes I think his attitude is a front--it would have to be considering the business he's in. I hope Tonks is able to make Wolfsbane successfully.

Author's Response: I think he probably does. After all, he never let Lily go after all those years and treats Harry horribly because of it. In my mind, Tonks, unfortunately, was not able to brew Wolfsbane successfully. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)

Sarahhh!

Hi *waves*

But why is there only one chapter?! Why you write something so nice and leave it there?! Why is the rum gone?!

I love how you write Tonks and Snape! Oh Lordy they were so canon. I can see Tonks being a misfit in class like that, changing her appearance to mock the teachers! And how uncomfortable she felt initially that her old professor was now something of a colleague.

Oh my heart! Tonks rubbish at potions but is determined and willing to try for Remus! That's the spirit and courage we love in Tonks.

The things on does for love, right? *sigh*

I can' believe this is the first story of yours I've read (I think), your writing is amazing, I'll have to check out your other works now!

I like this a lot. Tonks and Snape together is so absent in the canon that this fills in a wonderful hole for us. I like the title, I think it's fine. It fits the story, my only concern is that this is from Tonks' POV. Any chance you can quick change that to fit the challenge rules? It needs to be from Snape's POV.

I still love the story!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I completely forgot that the fic had to be from Snape's POV. I'm not going to change it because I like it as it is. It was, of course, not eligible to win, but I still loved writing it. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
