Review #1, by PaulaTheProkaryote Chapter One

21st May 2016:
Hi there! We haven't formally met on the forums, but I'm Paula! I'm leaving reviews for everyone that was online in the forums a few minutes ago for funsies and you happened to be online!

For starters I'm a HUGE sucker for next gen. It's definitely my favorite era and I've read a ton of it! That being said, I think your characterization of Rose is singularly unique and I really love her!

I really, really like Mai as a character. She reminds me a lot of myself. I'm that person that doesn't know when to stop. I'm doing thesis research in a lab and I'll stay from breakfast until midnight without remembering I have a life outside of grad school. Thankfully, I have a Rose in the form of my husband.

I like the way you paint the common rooms. I think it's a realy nice touch that brings the story alive. I love the bit about the ethical brewing in potions because I've argued forever that teaching children amortentia is beyond unethical. You're just asking for trouble!

I really think you've written a really cute dynamic between Rose and Mai. I know you're only at chapter one of this story but I really like that it's going to be a good one and I really think the relationship exploration of the pair of them would be incredibly interesting! Excellent start to the story!
