Here for CTF

AND WHAT IN THE NAME OF SANITY ARE YOU DOING TO ME? I MEAN? WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD? First, you start this story off with a nice little introduction. Molly and Arthur, living their lives, a sad anecdote how Dominique is the only one of the grandchildren who thinks of birthdays and whatnot (which is a sad thing as it is already and YOU DID NOT NEED TO ADD TO THAT) and then some more lovely descriptions of routine and how it can wait because it keeps on being her birthday and everything.

What was that necessary for? It's cruel, undeniably cruel. I thought at first, noo, it can't be bad, it must've snagged on her hair or something. BUT NO YOU HAD TO KILL MOLLY ON HER BIRTHDAY OF ALL DAYS? For heaven's sake, and then to have to call the Ministry in, half of which are related to Molly in the first place through marriage, have to calm family down and be professional on top of that too? No. This is absolutely too much. I did not need this absolute onslaught of emotions. I don't know why it was necessary of you to just write this because my heart is absolutely shattered and I am not okay at all.

(and yes that is a compliment but ssh)

Review #2, by BellaLestrange87 The Gift

Hello there! I'm here for CTF!

This chapter was cute and fluffy! I love how Dominique remembered Molly's birthday despite how busy she is. Also, it's amazing that she's a cursebreaker - I guess she's following her father's footsteps there.

I definitely do not have as much self control as Molly does - I probably would have ripped the present open immediately instead of tending to my chores like a responsible person would.

But seriously, the amulet scene was done really well. Your description was amazing and the amount of questions this leaves just makes me want to read more. Why would Dominique want to kill her grandmother? We know that Dominique usually remembered her birthday present - so it's not like it's out of character for her to do that. Was there an argument between Molly and Dominique that wasn't mentioned? Or does someone have a grudge against Dominique and want them out of the picture for some reason? Would it have something to do with the fact that she's a cursebreaker? I'm definitely coming back to this story after CTF.

I'm also curious about this mystery amulet. Where did it come from? How did Dominique (maybe Dominique) end up with it? Is it cursed?

This was an amazing first chapter with a plot twist that I definitely did not see coming. I will definitely be back after CTF to keep reading!

Review #3, by Musing A Few Last Questions

6th March 2016:
Hello again! I wanted to know what happens next, so here I am again reviewing for the HPFF Review-A-Thon.

This chapter cleared up a lot of things regarding Molly's murder mystery. Jimmy is sick. Unrequited affections never guarantee taking a life.

Dominique clearly must be feeling 'horrible' knowing she was indirectly responsible for her Nana's death.

I like how you show Harry's struggle between acting professional and giving in to his anger and sadness. He had found his mother in Molly after all. It must be very difficult to investigate her murder.

I'm waiting to know how Jimmy's brought to justice. It can be difficult as the evidences point at Dominique!

Review #4, by Musing The Gift

6th March 2016:
Hi Jenn! I am here for the HPFF Review-A-Thon. I noticed this story had no reviews, so I thought I'd give it a go!

Since the story is for Kill Your Main Character Challenge, I was pretty sure about what was waiting for me in the story. But what I'd not expected was Molly's death by some dark magical object. What is more shocking is that the amulet was a gift from Molly's grand daughter herself!

The start felt nice and I got the sense of what Molly's and Arthur's typical day is like. I just got hit with the realisation that after they raised so many kids and even invited their kids' friends from time to time, they would have felt rather lonely after their kids moved out, wouldn't have they?

It's ironic that out of all their grand kids, Molly gets a present only from Dominique and how that gift is the very thing which takes her life. I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if Molly had put on the amulet when Arthur was awake and not put it off for later. Arthur might have been able for save her! Poor Molly! She couldn't even call out for help when he was being chocked. Why do such brutal deaths come to the most kind people? *sniffle*

This is a very interesting premise! I can't wait to know the mystery behind the amulet and Dominique's involvement in it.
