Review #1, by TreacleTart When I Get to Five

2nd January 2016:
Hey there!

I'm dropping by to leave you a review on your entry for my Psychological Horror Challenge. I'll be breaking this review down into categories so you can see how I'm judging it.

Plot - I really enjoyed the way you formatted this story. The different notes and scraps taunting the narrator worked well to raise the anxiety and tenseness. It also really put me on edge wondering what exactly was going on. The mother's complacency was pretty alarming as well. I also felt that the flow and pace of this worked really well.

Characterization - So I always get a little bit nervous about having an OC as a main character in a one-shot because it can be really hard for me to know them well enough to care in such a short space. You managed to overcome that obstacle and really make me root for your main character in a short stretch of time. Kudos for that.

Creep Factor - I definitely found this creepy. The persistence of the stalker and the threatening tone of the letters combined with the mother's lack of ability or desire to do anything really made my spine tingle.

Spelling/Grammars/Typos - This was pretty much perfect the whole way through. I saw two very small typos, but they didn't really affect the quality of the writing at all.

All in all, this was a strong story that led me to ask a lot of questions. I was left wondering if it was the dad who'd attacked the daughters or someone else entirely.

Great work!

So intense! Very well written. I'm a bit confused, but I think I understand most everything.
