Review #1, by cherry_pop94 How To Discover Magic

17th December 2015:
Hello! I'm here for the Ravenclaw gift tag!

This is a really cool story. I thought the Ministry had ways of knowing when magic was cast in front of muggles though? Maybe they just detected Harry's because it was underage magic.

Anyway, this was really fun. I surprised at how not freaked out Joaquin was when he found out about magic from Sirius. Haha, I guess he's just a very relaxed person.

They're unlikely friends, Joaquin and Sirius. A pureblood and a muggle. I can't imagine the Blacks would be pleased at this. But it's definitely shaping up to be something interesting!

I'm excited to see what happens next!

Happy holidays!

I can't remember if this is headcanon or actual canon, but I think the Ministry only tracks underage wizards' magical use. Either way, I mean for this piece to be AUish.
Joaquin was written to be the chill Muggle. Perhaps my view of magic is just heavily influenced by my love for Harry Potter, but I would think it would be pretty cool to witness magic.
If the Blacks knew they were friends, they wouldn't be pleased. I don't think they'll ever find out, though.

Review #2, by Unwritten Curse How To Discover Magic

20th October 2015:
Hi hun! I'm a bit late, but finally here to read my challenge entries.

This was so funny! I love that Joaquin was so calm, then when Sirius began denying what he saw, he flew off the handle. Such a comical bit of character development. And when Sirius tried to modify his memory--oh, I laughed so hard at that. "Obligate!" Hahahaha.

These two seem like they'll be fast friends. They're very similar, and it seems like they're close in age. I hope this ends well for both of them--that Joaquin decides to keep Sirius's secret so that the latter doesn't have to Obliviate him.

Keep writing! I'd love to see where this goes.

I've been wanting to edit this chapter since Joaquin and Sirius are going slightly off the tracks I intended for them to be on. At least they're not rambling off into the woods or anything too far off the beaten path. :)
