I really enjoyed reading this. I don't often read Krum/Hermione, but I think this was really well written and an interesting read.

I loved your description in the chapter, I think you created a really beautiful setting for the scene. My favourite line is probably 'It was stating to warm up; the rain still fell, painting the ground at first with little specks before dashing it was large, sweeping strokes.' - it is really beautiful description.

I admit that I was a little confused at first about the sudden switch from first person to third person. Although this is an effective way of showing Hermione's thoughts and feelings, I think the story would be far more impactful if you worked them into the chapter without switching from first person perspective to third. I think it seems to detract something from the story, and it might flow better without the sudden switch.

Your dialogue seems very natural throughout the story and I think it flows really well. I also think that both characters seem quite in character throughout the story, and I like how Krum asked her when they were outside rather than inside the castle in the library. I think you've captured Hermione's feelings towards the beauty regime some girls follow acturately as well.

I like how Hermione compares her transformation to ugly-duckling-turned-beautiful-swan, and I like the twist at the end, which suggests that although she is going to the ball with Krum, she does like Ron.

All in all, a really lovely one-shot!

This is an interesting story, I'm a sucker for Hermione/Krum.

Author's Response: Thank-you, I have to admit they are so cute together, even if they didn't exactly end up together this time
