Review #2, by MadiMalfoy Changing World

Hello there! MadiMalfoy here with your requested review from a couple weeks ago! :)

First of all, congrats Hannah and Neville!! :) I haven't read much of them (considering I ship Nuna, but even so) but minor characters make me happy so this is great! You were really worried about how the 99% dialogue works with this piece, but you needn't have been! Only having the one line of dialogue allows for greater character exploration within Neville's mind and how the current situation affects his thought process and what he reflects on.

I was so gunning for him to just slam the doors open and go straight to Hannah like the BAMF he is, but you not allowing that to happen just heightens the sense of urgency he feels. Even though he's worried something catastrophic could happen whenever he's around the baby, I think he ultimately knows deep down he'll be just fine and his instincts will guide him. You've got his characterization down to a tee, so kudos to you for writing Neville perfectly!! I loved the little snippets with Harry, and Ron, and Mr. Abbott also--it highlights how Neville thinks of his friends still in rather school-age terms but that's just because he's not necessarily ready to change how everything is yet. But of course babies just have to do their own thing and be all *demanding*...

As a whole, I truly enjoyed this piece! The description was perfect, and the single line of dialogue epitomized all of the feelings Neville was having. Fantastic job, come back anytime! :)

Review #3, by MischiefNotQuiteMannaged Changing World

You've really captured all the worries and fears of being a new parent. I can really feel Neville's panic at possibly losing the baby in Hogsmeade, and the terror of the child witnessing and suffering through events similar to those he had lived through. I really liked how you captured Nevilles forgetfulness and ability to lose things by adding in the touches of Trevor and the Rememberable.
I can really feel just how much Neville already loves the baby, since he doesn't care if the baby is a squib. It really touched me to see this especially as it reminded me how much being considered a squib affected Neville.
I really enjoyed reading Nevilles thoughts as he becomes a father.

Oooh I love Neville, he's one of my favourite characters and I am really glad you've wrote about him. Especially since we don't know for sure whether he and Hannah have children, but in my personal headcanon they do. So yay!

I adore the way you've characterised him! And I especially loved when he mentioned he had probably seen worse sights than childbirth in the war.

The fact his grandmother is still around makes me incredibly happy, because I always picture her there and living until she's over 100, I mean look at Dumbledore. The fact she is making him sit outside despite him being a grown man makes me laugh. I love that she still has authority over him even now.

Your descriptions are perfect! Especially those of when Neville is waiting outside the room. The little bit about Ron probably going to get food made me laugh, I love that bit and that Harry was there for him too. Their friendship really shows!

Your missed a comma here I think - "should have been between himself and Hannah(,) Neville put his head in his..."

I feel so bad for Neville, I mean he wants to be inside there with Hannah comforting her. Yet he's stuck outside waiting, pacing as well most likely. It's sweet that he's so worried about him being a parent such as what if he lost him or her. It definitely shows the Neville we knew from the books he didn't think he was brave enough.

Again your descriptions are crazily perfect! I can definitely see it all playing out in my head, especially Neville as he slipped down the door, landing on the floor. I like that you had Susan Bones there too, and that she was with Hannah when Neville couldn't be.

This one-shot is gorgeous and it made me tear up at the end because it was perfect! I'm definitely adding this to my favourites regardless of it being completed.

Review #5, by Merope Changing World

Awww I loved it. Your writing is beautiful and the way you portrayed Neville was (in my humble opinion) spot on! Never really imagined I's read a story about him in this situation, but now that I read yours, I am almost certain it's exactly how he would have reacted.

Keep up the great work!

Merope :)
