Review #1, by marauderfan Ella Green, 11: Witch.

More hot seat reviews! :D

I liked this first chapter, I think it was a good introduction into how Muggle-born children adjust to news that they're magical. I like how Ella was the least surprised to find out, as she felt it was sort of more of an explanation than anything else, and kids tend to be more accepting of weird ideas than adults do, in general. But I'm glad her parents accepted the news well and are excited to let Ella go off to Hogwarts.

Aw, hopefully Ella will be able to stay in touch with her Muggle best friend. That must be hard to leave your friends behind and not be able to tell them one of the most important secrets of your life. I'll be interested to see what happens with their friendship in the future.

Great chapter! :)

Author's Response: Yay! More reviews!

After making magical things happen/watching your daughter make inexplicable things happen you're more open to believe even the wildest explanation, especially one with evidence supporting it. Ella's parents are the best kind; protective, understanding, loving, and teaching. They're awesome.

We don't really have her keeping in touch with the muggle girl since they weren't terribly close. They'll keep in touch for a year but then move on, but in the meantime Ella will befriend a half-blood named Nina. If you like Ella and Brittney, you'll love Ella and Nina.

Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Review #2, by ravenhuffledor Ella Green, 11: Witch.

Nice story, maybe Ella has a distant cousin who's magical, and by pure coincidence, they become best friends. I'm not saying you should use this idea, it's just an idea.

Author's Response: Hey, thanks for the review! :)

We actually had already decided that Ella's mom is cousins with Colin creevey, but we also already have her best friend chosen and stuff, and there's little chance they have any vaguely close family in common. Ella's a character from our novella, and we already have the rest of her story planned out. It's an idea though, and we'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the feedback! :)
