Review #1, by TidalDragon Crying

15th December 2014:
Wow, Lo. This was an incredibly impressive story and one that I'd never read before. I was going to use this review for the CR game, but it feels egregiously inappropriate, so I'm just going to leave you with this.

I thought the way you captured the struggle of those in an incredibly dark place with the avalanche metaphor was brilliant and I thought the power with which you drove home the anguish and struggle the carries on with the leaving was amazing. And in so few words, with characters I would never have considered.

Well done.

Author's Response: Hi Kevin!

Thanks so much for this amazing review! Honestly I would not have minded it you reviewed this for the CR game because after being able to write through some things, it's gotten easier to pretend it happened to someone else and that it's someone else's story.

That said, your review was wonderful and I'm so happy you enjoyed it to some extent! Thank you so much again!

Lo :)

Lo!! Thanks for doing a review swap.

This is a very powerful story. I am truly sorry about your friend. Your grief came through beautifully in this story. *hugs*

I love the idea of Dean and Lavender being drawn togeher by their mutual grief. You made it wonderfully rich for the two of them to forever share that bond.

The quote you used played in remarkably well with the context fo the story and their dialogue. It's also fitting for a friend who kills themselves. You relate the avalanche analogy quite smoothly to his real life horrors.

This is a wonderful piece!! Thank you for sharing it.

-Rose

Author's Response: Hiya Rose!

Thank you so much, I'm just glad that I could get these thoughts out and I'm glad it came together nicely instead of the mess it felt like.

I'm glad the quote fit since while I was writing it felt a little bit forced. I'm so happy that you enjoyed the use of it.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review, Rose!

First, I want to say I'm sorry for your loss.

This was so tragically beautiful. I have to admit, it made me tear up a little. Poor Dean. His heartache and feeling of loss came through so strongly. You did an extraordinary job of conveying that.

It was very sweet, Lavender and Dean comforting one another during, what must have been, the hardest time in their lives.

I absolutely loved that quote. And I love how the whole story seemed to be built off of it.

You write very well. It flows effortlessly and brings you in from the very first sentence. Truly, well done on this!

xoxo -Meg

Author's Response: Hello!

Thank you, it means a lot to me. And yay! I got emotions! I think that sounds wrong but I'm glad I could convey Dean's emotions well enough to get that kind of response.

I'm glad that you thought the quote fit in well also. It was hard for me to place it but I'm glad it didn't seem forced!

Thank you so much, this was a really amazing review!
Lo :)

Review #5, by MissesWeasley123 Crying

Hey...

So, not once on a story on hpff have I truly cried. Like sure, I had to take a moment before continuing or my eyes welled up, but this... this is the full-on-bawling story. Honestly.

What powerful writing Lo. The moment you began, it was so chilling. I think I loved how you started with, "And..." and continued. It was beautiful. Hauntingly beautiful.

Poor Seamus. And Dean. I felt for him, and I felt so bad. It sucks dude. To lose someone that way. Seamus couldn't do it anymore. Dean's friendship with Seamus was so lovely, and it's brilliant to see that during the books, we always got to see Harry. Ron, and Hermione's friendship, but their were so many other people there, like Seamus and Dean, who were great friends.

I seriously can't express how impressed I am by your writing Lo. Reading this really makes me wish you will win as Most Improved Author. You have amazing talent. Thanks so mcuh for sticking through with this challenge till the end, and good luck. I am honoured to read this.

Author's Response: Hi Nadia!

Thank you so much for this amazing review. This means so much to me and I really can't express exactly how much this means. I'm so touched. Thank you, so much, Nadia you have no idea.

Lo :)
