Review #2, by lightthecandle I Hope She's In Hufflepuff

9th September 2014:
Hello there! :)

I really adored this one-shot, it was super cute and I really like the way you portrayed his nervousness. You could tell he was nervous about something and I had an idea in my head what it was but wasn't proven right until when he said he was checking if the ring was definitely still there. Then when he did propose, I felt like I was intruding on a special moment it was so adorable the way he just blurted it out and felt angry afterwards that he didn't get to say the speech he'd been working on.
I also loved Damien's inner thoughts, especially when Maria was explaining about being pregnant! I could actually picture his face being so confused and dumbfounded before she told him. Then being more shocked about the muggle way of finding out whether she was pregnant or not! I let out a loud laugh after that.
Such a lovely story and I really enjoyed this!

Author's Response: Hey there dear! First off, I'm sorry it has taken me such a ridiculous amount of time to respond to this review!

Thank you SO much for this! And aw, I'm glad you felt the moment was adorable, and that you think I portrayed the nervousness well! This entire one-shot was written in less than 24-hours, if I remember correctly (I was rushing to meet the deadline), so I'm glad that I was still able to convey the emotions well!

Haha! I actually really enjoyed writing Damien's inner thoughts, and I'm glad you thought it was funny!

Thank you so much for this amazing review! *hugs*

Review #3, by TidalDragon I Hope She's In Hufflepuff

13th March 2014:

I also write the companion piece to this one, so I have that as background to go on.

I liked how you developed Damien and Maria's engagement and marriage through major phases via the snapshots. I thought it gave us a good picture some key moments in their lives (and thankfully they weren't all completely laden with bliss, since the pregnancy news came with some drama).

I also really liked that we got to see a little more of Maria's personality in this piece as compared to its companion. I thought Damien pulled almost all the focus in that one so it was nice to see some of the things in Maria that might have attracted him in the first place - her kindness and her humor (holding onto the Hufflepuff bit all this time).

I did think her injecting the "first time with a Hufflepuff" bit was a bit much, because when I first read it, it came off more serious than funny, but all in all I liked the story and I think when you put the two pieces together they ended up making a nice happy set.

Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response: Hi there!

First off, thank you for taking the time to read Keyty_'s story, and thank you for also taking the time to stop by and read and review mine! ♥

I was really quite rushed when writing this (again, this was also written in one sitting... Keyty can testify to that!), so I'm glad that you thought you got to see snapshots of some very important moments in their lives.

Somehow, I think Damien kind of became the main focus of both of our stories, but I'm glad you felt that you got to see some of Maria's personality!

Haha! I worried I might have gone a bit too far with the "Hufflepuff" thing there. I just honestly got totally caught up in the moment and all the feels that I got from writing this story - words cannot express how much I enjoyed writing this.

Thank you SO much for both of these lovely reviews, and your comments! :)
