Review #1, by teh tarik Christmas Eve

1st February 2014:
Cassie!

Aww, this was an incredibly sweet and fluffy oneshot! Christmas seems like a very long time ago, but I still enjoyed your lovely story! I love your wonderful sense of atmosphere, the warmth and comfort of family, and how content everyone seems to be. There were so many lovely touches you added, from Angelina and George's moment in the shop, to Harry kissing Ginny lightly as she pokes her head round the corner, to Ron and Hermione bickering before making up as they set the table for dinner. And TEddy and Victoire snuggling up to each other on the armchair was far too sweet!

Some of my favourite lines:

Molly smiles at Arthur and they look around at their home, which is full of family, just the way they like it. Hermione leans her head on Ron's shoulder, George and Angelina laugh quietly in the corner, and Bill and Fleur sit holding hands.

^ This has got to be my absolute favourite paragraph! Beautifully written; I love how cosy and intimate everyone is with each other.

As the clock ticks by, minute by minute, and Christmas Eve slowly moves towards Christmas Day.

Lovely description. I really adore the word choice in this sentence.

This is such a lovely story, Cassie! ♥ Wonderful work on this, and hopefully you write a lot more (with more updates to TFD)!

Author's Response: Hi teh!
I loved writing all the little snapshots of the different individual families as the all gathered together at the Burrow, so I'm glad you think they came together and captured the warm, Christmas spirit I think this family has!
The lines you picked out were some that I really enjoyed writing because they were both things I could picture really clearly as I wrote them. I'm thrilled you like this one-shot, so thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful review!

Review #2, by BookDinosaur Christmas Eve

5th January 2014:
Hello! I'm here for the Tenth of the Twelve Days of Reviewing. :)

I really enjoyed reading this story! There's just something about the happiness of next-gen that draws me to it, and you did a great job capturing that happiness and that family spirit I'm sure the Weasleys would have shared.

I think that even though this is cut up into a bunch of different scenes, you managed to make it flow really well, and that's a really difficult feat, so kudos to you for that! (Goodness knows I can never do it.)

Ron and Hermione were amazing as well, I think you managed to capture their characters perfectly here, with Hermione offering to help and Ron complaining about setting the table, it was all so in character!

Harry and Ginny were so sweet to, I loved the section on them as well. :) Adorable.

Ahh, Teddy and Victoire wwere so cute together! They definitely stole the show here today, and this certaninlyly sets a basis for their relationship in the epilogue of DH, but they're just kids here, so they're that much more adorable to me. :P

All in all, this was a really sweet Christmassy oneshot and I'm glad I had the chance to read it. :D

Author's Response: Hi there!
I love writing Next Gen, so I'm glad you thought I did it well! The snapshots of the different parts of the day and people who were gathered together were really fun for me, and I loved getting to write little pieces of the different family members without going to deeply into it, so I could leave things up to the imagination!
Ron and Hermione were really funny to write because I could picture them bickering over something little like setting the table but making up in almost no time at all. Harry and Ginny were also fun, because I've always thought they'd be very open about how much they love each other but would tease one another and have fun together, too.
Teddy and Victoire were the idea that got this story to be what it is. I loved writing them as kids knowing that they end up together in DH, so I'm so glad you liked them, too! Thank you so much for the sweet review!

Review #3, by UnluckyStar57 Christmas Eve

5th January 2014:
Hi! On the Tenth Day of the Twelve Days of Reviewing, we were given the task of reviewing really recent stories.

Even though it isn't Christmas anymore, I had fun reading this. I liked the glimpses of family life that preceded the Weasley family Christmas gathering. They helped establish the approximate year (since Albus had yet to be born and Lily wasn't even thought of then), and little Teddy was really cute. :)

Teddy and Victoire were adorable together. I can definitely see the basis for a cute relationship for them a few years down the road. James, that little devil, was probably too young to even notice that they went off together (unlike the James of the DH epilogue, who was very eager to inform everyone about Teddy kissing Victoire). When kids are so young and innocent like that, it's positively endearing. And you wrote them so well! I think that I've forgotten how to properly be a kid (even though I'm not old at all!), but you seem to remember very well! I really admire the way you wrote the kids so nicely.

Great story!

Author's Response: Hello!
I'm so happy you liked this one-shot! I had a ton of fun writing it! Writing all the kids was one of my favorite parts about this story, so thank you for thinking I did a good job with them! I love writing kids, since they are so innocent and have such a unique way of looking at the world. Teddy and Victoire were where the idea for this started, and I knew I wanted to write them as little kids, so everything took off from there!
Thank you so much for the great review!

Review #4, by MissesWeasley123 Christmas Eve

5th January 2014:
Hello here for day 10 of the 12 Days of Reviewing!

This was a sweet little one shot. I really liked it. It was cute and you took a pair and used it magnificently, especially since they are only kids in this. That was so cute and a really good move on your part.

Harry and Ginny were really sweet, but for me Ron and Hermione stole the show. Not only were they so true to their characters, but I could feel the love radiating from them.

The only bit of CC I would give is that Hermione and Ginny would not be pregnant at the same time. I think that's what you said, or was it Audrey that was pregnant?

Your descriptions were good, but characterization is definitely your strength!

Great work!

Author's Response: Hello!
I'm so pleased you enjoyed this! The idea for it started with Teddy and Victoire, so I'm thrilled you liked reading them as little kids! I loved writing glimpses into the different couples lives with their individual families, so I'm glad liked Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione! Ron and Hermione were really fun to write!
The reason I had Hermione and Ginny pregnant at the same time was that I was thinking Ginny was pregnant with Albus and Hermione with Rose. Since the two kids are in the same year at Hogwarts, I thought they'd be born in the same year.
Thank you so much for leaving a review on this story, I really appreciate it!

CassiePotter,
This was really sweet. You have written a beautiful Christmas story. I could hear the music, the conversations, smell Molly's cooking, and see the happiness of all.
