This was a really interesting fic! There were a whole bunch of characters in here and a few AUs so it was a bit confusing keeping track of it all and who was saying what (I probably should have read your novel first though, so it's more to do with me). However, the characterisations of the familiar characters was really great - I loved how perceptive Hermione and Ginny was of everything, although I would imagine that Hermione would have more tact that loudly proclaiming across the room that she knew what was up with Alexis. I also loved Luna's little time in the spotlight in this story - I can so imagine her being abrupt and saying she was going to go look for nargles in the middle of a conversation. It's great seeing a gay relationship being featured here. All in all, it was a good idea using Slughorn's party as an opportunity to meet up with everyone and get this relationship started. Good job writing this!

Author's Response: YAY THANK YOU! I do love Luna. In my novel, Hermione has been going out with Ron for two years by this point so in my mind she's lost a little of her tact due to his influence :P

Review #3, by BookDinosaur Jealousy and Other Emotions

Hello! I'm here for the Fifth of the Twelve Days of Reviewing Challenge.

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something here, because this is a missing moment from somewhere else, or another story that you've written, but I think I got the main idea of it and I hope that I can give you a coherant review which makes sense with the story.

So, I really like the idea of James and Lily not dying. My Jily feels are dancing around and hugging you a lot because I love Jily and I really really wish they hadn't died. It's really interesting to see what you think would have happened if they weren't killed by Voldemort, and Harry has a younger sister! Aw, that's sweet. Jily. :)

From what I read, Daisy has the potential to become a really interesting character - how does someone turn out to be half vampire? Is James or Lily a vampire? How does it affect her? I also gathered that she was in a relationship with Draco and they broke up, which devastated her.

It seems really interesting as well, that Harry is still going out with Giiny and he's friends with Ron and Hermione even though his whole life will probably turn out differently because Voldemort didn't manage to kill his parents or he didn't try.

I also liked that you wrote slash. Personally, I'm too scared to write it myself, but I'm glad that people are becoming more and more open-minded towards slash pairings.

Overall I quite liked this oneshot, well done. :)

Author's Response: Aw thank you. It's a missing part of my series titled 'Our Ridiculous Lives', the first part is Hogwarts gen which explains Daisy and Draco's relationship, and the second part is next gen which explains some of the pairings there. Daisy was bitten by a vampire but not turned into a full one (happens in the first part of the story), and Draco's parents didn't like him going out with her anyway, and liked it even less when she was turned. So yes. Ahem, I'm rambling. Give it a read if you like, you can find it all on my author page :)
