30th April 2014:
This was really sweet. I thought that this was a really effective way to give its snapshots of his life. Its sad, but also very heart-warming, how devoted he is to keeping up his visits.

I like the way you structured the family. I can see them having a bigger family.

Another thing I liked was how he imagined their reactions. It was sad, knowing that he'll never really get a pat on the shoulder or wise advice.

Oh there I go... Now I'm all sad...

I'm in my phone so this is really short... But I thought you did a really lovely job with this.

Wow, this was seriously so heartfelt.

I just loved that Teddy seemed to know what his parents would say or do. It was so warming and genuine. I love that he went to them for everything, I'm sure it's something he would definitely do.

I loved seeing the progression of the story in this way. It was beautiful and just stunning.

I adored that little attention to detail you gave here and there. It just made the story that much more charming.

I thought this was such a different, and magnificent story, and storyline. Beautiful is all I have to say.(:

Cheers,
Katie!

Author's Response: THANK YOU!

I thought Teddy might be like this, so I am glad you think so, too. I am so happy you liked it so much, and thank you for the lovely review!

Have a wonderful day!

Review #5, by Courtney Dark Blue Roses

19th December 2013:
Hey there! I am so sorry it took me such a long time to get to you! I have to excuses: firstly that I went away on holiday and the hotel had no internet (I almost died) and secondly that I am in incredibly lazy person, though I'm working on it!

Anyway, I really, really enjoyed this one-shot! It was extremely unique, and I've never read anything like it. There was also something oddly...refreshing about it, though I'm not quite certain why that is. Perhaps because it flowed so nicely, the pace was great and it was easy and light to read. I loved it!

I absolutely adore the way you wrote this, with Teddy talking to his parents about these specific moments in his life - and I think you chose the perfect moments, the perfect times! Your portrayal of Teddy is also great. You haven't dumped a whole lot of information on us about what he is like, because we don't really need it - from what he says and does, I can gather that he is a kind, caring person, with a good heart.

I also think you captured the 'essence' of Teddy's life really well, and how he felt about each of those moments - marrying Victoire, having children, seeing his children leaving home. And you wrote with a simplicity that was lovely to see!

I'm not sure you still would like another name for this story (and I am absolutely horrible at this sort of thing) but I'll give you a couple of ideas, anyway:
-The Measure of Love
-For This Alone
-Comes Full Circle
-In Hearts
-Honour of Memory

Perhaps some of those were helpful? Sorry if they were awful!

Courtney:)

Author's Response: Hi!

You are totally fine, there was no rush :) Thank you SO much for your review!

I am so glad you liked it and thought it to be unique. That is always good to hear. I am also pleased to hear that you liked my portrayal of Teddy. THANK YOU!

I really cannot thank you enough! I had hoped it would not seem too morbid or anything, so according to you, it would appear that it is not, which I am glad for.

I really like "In Hearts." Thanks for your help! It is appreciated :)

No, not awful at all. I actually like all of them, so thank you! And I will credit you, of course :)

Thank you again for taking time to read and review my story, I am very grateful!

Happy Holidays!
