Review #1, by TheHeirOfSlytherin Prologue: Sight

11th January 2014:
Hey, it's Sam here, reviewing your entry for my Supernatural Creature challenge. :)

You've made me see Trelawney in a whole other light. First she was the slightly crazy teacher who occasionally got a vision that was real and was always predicting Harry's death, now she's a scared girl who is feared and rejected and only became a teacher because she wouldn't be completely ridiculed there. It's very sad, I feel like I should hug her.

I'm torn over how I should feel about Gretchen; I mean, I understand her anger and pain over losing her arm, but it's so sad that she blamed Trelawney for it. She heard the vision and she deserved the detention. It was an accident, and yet it's completely changed two friends.

This was a very cool story and I'm very glad you entered my challenge and wrote this. :)

Sam.

Author's Response: Hi! Sorry for taking so long to reply, but I was away from the internet.
My main objective with this story was to give a new side to Trelawney, a reason she might be how she is, and I'm glad that you've seen it.
Gretchen's scenario is interesting, because it shows something about human nature - you always want someone to blame. Gretchen chooses not to blame herself for not participating in the prank, she chooses to blame Sybill for the loss of her arm.
Cheers, Phoenix Quill :D
