Review #2, by Cannons ii.

13th December 2013:
Hey again!

I couldn't stay away, can I just say you have one of the best banners I have ever seen, it's amazing.

Your writing is so smooth, and technical, it comes across that you have been writing for a while and know exactly what your doing. It really is a pleasure to read it.

I am so glad that you've decided to use your talent to write about Seamus because he's a character who I have found is defiantly not written about a lot, but his character is so interesting and diverse.

Hazel is growing on me I have to admit, I'm pleased that you have fleshed her out and shown two different sides to her in the first two chapters. In the first chapter she is a whirlwind of aggression and indignation and in this one we see her a little calmer and more thoughtful. I like how she questioned herself about if she had done the right thing for a moment and then talked herself in to thinking she had done the right thing.

I enjoy reading Seamus trying to wind Hazel up, he seems to be going for that sort of tactic which defiantly gives you lots of plot room. Like in this chapter he realises he quite likes her but he doesn't change his tone of the way he speaks to her, he just keeps on trying to wind her up which is so fun to read.

Another thing which I like is you've made Hazel the daughter of a politician going for the Minister of Magic's job which I know is going to be important somehow, I just cant work out why yet. Personally I'm hoping Hazel does get set up with a man by her mother to see how she reacts.

Anyway I really enjoy your writing, you have a great story going and I will be reading in the future whenever you update.

Author's Response: Oh my gosh, wow! Thank you so much for this review, I can't even tell you how much it means that you said all those lovely things. I have been writing awhile, and I'm so glad that it shows because I wondered if it ever would. XD

I'm really glad that you liked the contrast with Hazel too. I really love her, she's just going through a rough time, (as you'll find out later) and I don't want people to hate her so I'm glad she's growing on you. :D

And Seamus, oh Seamus, I've heard nothing but good comments about him so far and it makes me want to just smile all the time. :D I've never really written him before now, just loved his character, so it's a little surprising that he came off so well, (sometimes I am a terrible judge of my own characterization skills).

Oh wow, I am so sorry if that was ramble-y but your review really made me excited! Thank you so much again. :)

Review #3, by Cannons i.

*applauds generously*

You are a genius. A genius - A genius is a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight. A genius is what you are.

Having a story based around Seamus? My joint favourite character along with Ron, Luna, Hermione and Neville. and Ginny. Having Seamus working in the fireworks section of the shop. Oh wow, why couldn't I have though of it.

Now it's great having an idea, but you have actually executed it so far. I have only read chapter 1 at the moment.

You have kept him to cannon perfectly, with the fireworks, his burst of aggression, and his inability to talk to women is a believable addition.

Also I don't know if you remember but in DHPt2 he has this amazingly funny scene at the end in the room of requirement so I loved the line when he said - ' “Sorry love, employees only back here,”' it just seemed like something he would say.

This woman is quite scary, I don't know what she's getting worked up about, if it clearly said on the packaging 'not suitable for water' then I don't see how she has a leg to stand on. So I am very interested in to learning why she is so angry and why she is acting so bullish.

I enjoyed this immensely and will read on.

Author's Response: Oh my gosh, I can't even describe how wonderful that review made me feel! Thank you sososo much! :) I love Seamus and I really tried to keep him canon, and I'm so glad that you, (and others) seem to think that I'm getting it! :D And idk, I was thinking about him one day and where he'd work, and the fireworks section popped into my mind. XD

oh Hazel. She's having a rough day, but she gets better. She does seem bullish though, I completely agree. XD

Again, thank you so much! This review completely made my day, and if my response didn't make much sense, it's because I'm stunned. :D

Review tag! :)

Ah, this was such an original and entertaining beginning to your story! I've never read a Seamus-based story but I really enjoyed what you've done with him here. His top temper and inability to cope with someone being rude to him, even if it's just a customer, was very canon, but the part of his character I loved most was how bad he is with women. It really made me giggle at the poor guy. :P Seamus working in the fireworks section of the shop was really genius too as I feel like he would do well in that area and it seems a logical job to have after graduating Hogwarts. I can't remember if Seamus' talent for blowing things up came from the books or the movies, but either way it's a great part of his character which has lots of opportunities for silliness.

Something else I liked were the little mentions of George and how developed his character was even if he didn't make an actual appearance. It was interesting how George turned into sort of a tyrant as a boss and how he really threw himself into his work after Fred's death - that made a lot of sense to me as to how he would cope with it. The little details, like George being good at talking to girls unlike the rest of his family, were really cute,

This angry girl seems interesting. I'm curious as to why she is so infuriated about the fireworks not working - perhaps she has pyrotechnic aspirations after Seamus' own heart? She seems really stubborn and rude as well, which makes her and Seamus a good match in some ways. I'm curious to see how on earth they would get together after this rather threatening exchange. :P

This was a great start to your story, I really enjoyed reading it! :) I'll try and drop by sometime soon to check out the next chapter! :D

Author's Response: Thank you so much! :) I tried to stick to as much a canon-Seamus as possible, (and the explosions are actually from both books & movies, just so you know lol). He's by far one of my favorite characters.

Oh George, I can't wait till he actually makes an appearance in the story. I actually didn't think about his character that much, I kind of just went with my gut - but I'm glad you liked where that led me! :)

And Hazel, yes, she's a firecracker. Hehe, they'll get together - maybe - eventually. (x

Thank you so much again, and I look forward to possibly seeing you by again! :)

I absolutely love it! Seamus has always been one of my favorite characters. It seems strange but for whatever reason, I've always loved him.
And I simply cannot emphasize how well written this is! You are wonderful with words!
I cannot wait to keep reading your story!

Author's Response: I completely understand! I adore Seamus, he is such a sweetheart - and completely underrated in the series, in my opinion!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! You have no idea how much that means to have some say that. Chapter three is in the queue, so hopefully you'll be able to continue reading it soon! :)
