Review #1, by TreacleTart Prologue

11th June 2015:
Hey there!

I'm here for the House Cup 2015- Gryffindor!

I'm always interested to see OC's and how they fit into cannon moments. Funny enough, at the beginning I thought Seamus was the dad speaking to his daughter, but instead you've got Lux as an OC in cannon.

Ginny does seem the type to make friends with anyone who needs a friend. It was nice of her to invite Lux in with her even though she doesn't seem to know here that well.

I can tell that she finds Seamus attractive right away and I'll be interested to see how that develops. Those crystal blue eyes could definitely be easy to fall for. I thought it was really sweet that he held her hands when the death eaters came in. I imagine that that would be quite terrifying and it's nice that they were able to give each other a small amount of comfort.

It made me really happy to see Neville stand up to them. I'm glad you've included this moment in this because it really shows just how brave he was. It's his transition from being the downtrodden weak boy that he was into being a man.

I did notice a few typos...

Ginny kindly remember Lux’s – remembered

this is Lux Brennan.” Ginny introduce – when you end dialogue like this it should be a comma not a period at the end . ie: “this is Lux Brennan,” Ginny introduced

All in all, this is a good start! I'd be interested to read more.

Author's Response: Hi!

Good luck on the House Cup! (Even though I'm a 'Claw ;))

Thank you so much for the kind review! I'm very guilty of putting this story on the back-burner in favor of other stories! Lux actually made a cameo in a oneshot I did that was during the Battle of Hogwarts! But a revival of this story isn't too far of a stretch!

That being said, I'm so glad that you enjoyed it and that it interests you!

Thank you for reviewing again!

Review #2, by The Basilisk Prologue

4th February 2015:
Hello, it is I, the Basilisk to petrify you with my review.

I think thisss wasss a very good start to your ssstory. I like how you've chosen an OC and her relationship with Seamus here to build on. It's a different idea, especially set againssst the year the Death Eaters took over Hogwartsss. The introduction of Lux is good and I like how she's friends with Ginny and Luna which allows her to ease in the group.

Her immediate 'connection' with Seamus is also obvious and quite sweet. Their interactions are adorable and it's a nice beginning to their romance. Your plot seems interesting and I think it's headed in a good direction. Your writing style is nice and flows smoothly. I didn't see any major grammar errors either.

Good job so far and keep writing.

Hiss Hiss,
The Basilisk.

Author's Response: Hello terrifying monster who leaves amazingly sweet reviews!

Thank you! It's always never-wracking to put an OC in with canon characters, because they can change the dynamics a lot and it's a delicate balance to maintain.

*hides under the couch* I wrote this story a long time ago, so yes it's very basic and almost cringe-worthy, but I'm glad that you liked it anyway!

Thank you and I will!

Review #3, by AlexFan Prologue

27th September 2014:
Story Search Round 1

I would've reviewed your other story A Little Bit of Luck but I'm a bit short on time at the moment so I went with this instead. I liked how you set up Lux's family at the beginning of the story by showing them fretting over her. Right away I knew that this was set during Deathly Hallows because of the tone. Parents fuss over their children when they send them off to school but not in the same way that Lux's parents do.

I personally always thought that Ginny was a rather popular girl, she had friends across all three houses and she got along well with just about everyone that wasn't a Slytherin. But I guess if Lux had even more friends and knew even more people then it would seem like Ginny kept to herself.

I liked how even in a time of darkness, Seamus still manages to keep the tone light and friendly, the last thing you'd expect someone to do is talk about Quidditch with Voldemort on the loose.

Anyway, I think you've got a good start to the story so far and I hope you continue it!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you didn't review ALBL, because it's under mass revision and it's totally embarrassing! Ha ha!

Thank you for reviewing! I'm so glad that you liked it! Lux's family is very by the rules and so I wanted to really exemplify that, because she's a bit rebellious later in the story and it's cool to see her grow and mature like that!

Ginny was popular, but she and Lux had nothing in common. Lux was the girl who was nice to everyone and had no enemies except for the people who envied her. Ginny was not one to sugarcoat things and so Lux naturally shied away from that sort of honesty. Ginny and Lux were both popular just one two different sides of the spectrum if you know what I mean?

Seamus has always been one of my favorite minor characters. He always seems to be a bit of comic relief like Neville was a couple of times. He's also very driven which I admire.

Well thank you again for your review! I can't say that I'll be posting anytime soon, because like I said ALBL is under mass revision and is currently occupying all of my attention!

Thank you again though! :)

Review #4, by Ginnys_Real_Twin Prologue

27th March 2014:
Quickly! Write more!
one picky little problem, though. its really picky but actually ginny is really popular, as said several times in the book, so i would change it so instead of saying "Ginny and Lux had never been close, seeing as Lux was popular and always surrounded by hordes of friends." it should say something about them hanging out with different bunches of friends, like ginny with hermione and luna and lux with other girls (maybe lavender or pavarti?).
just a suggestion; again, its a really picky thing but ginny is who i would be if i was in harry potter and my pet hate is when someone gets something wrong about ginny. Thanks!

Author's Response: Thank you! And I'll go and fix that soon! (I'm currently on spring break and my friend's beach house has no wifi! :( haha) But I will definitely post soon I've just been procrastinating and working on other original stuff! I have been missing HPFF though so hopefully the next chapter will be posted soon. It's written I just have to edit it and all! Thank you again for your review!

Review #7, by Rumpelstiltskin Prologue

9th October 2013:

This definitely has the potential to be good :).

I adore minor characters and find it refreshing to stumble across a Seamus/OC fic.

At any rate, I'll be waiting for more!

Author's Response: Ahhh! Thank you so much!

I absolutely love minor characters as well and there is not enough Seamus around I think aha! :)

And I'm about to post the next chapter soon! So look out for it!
