Hi there. I spotted your story and I just had to read it! I love reading about Teddy when he's small and I think you have him down just perfectly here.

Of course he is going to be curious about his family in that way as he will see everyone around him with parents when he is alone and raised by his grandmother, god father and god mother. I also like how you put in about Harry's unease when Teddy called him dad. It was sweet but it was true.

I would have liked to see it longer as I didn't feel that the story was complete. If there was some more description in there you could have made it longer however I do appreciate how hard it is to write from a child's point of view. I just felt as if there was a little too much poem and not enough story. I also felt that having people chant Teddy's name was a little too much as there would have been a lot of sadness. I can imagine a lot of clapping but chanting at a memorial doesn't seem particularly proper.

I loved the story though!

Awww!

Omg, this was so sweet! How amazing of Teddy to do that as a child and really speak out and say how much he misses them and loves them. The thing I'm glad about is that Harry told him, despite the fact that it was uncomfortable, but Teddy was able to remember them - well not literally - but have some kind of idea of them and I think that was very special and you really used some great characterisation here too. Fabulous work.

Harry seemed so lovely and Teddy was just adorable - I just wanted to pick him up and hug him. Loved the poem too, it seemed perfect for the occasion and it was as if it was written by Teddy. Wonderful Job, no spelling or grammar errors to be seen!

This was a really original idea, I think you could even turn it into multi-chapters, maybe include other chapters that have the speeches other characters made?

I like the idea of the story but I think maybe five is a little young for Teddy to understand everything that Harry explained to him. I think maybe the bit about muggle borns and blood traitors was a bit much, that's just my opinion though.

The poem was adorable, it's a real talent to be able to write a fic with a poem in it too so well done for that. Tiny little nitpick though, Teddy and the other characters are all British so it would be mummy or mum rather than mommy. :)
