This was so sweet! I'm so glad you asked me to review it because Ron and Hermione are definitely my OTP! :D

I thought you did VERY well with their characterization! They were so awkward together (which is totally understandable) and it made my heart ache a little at the beginning because I know how much they love each other and wanted to be with each other.

Hermione would definitely be the one who wouldn't have the courage to tell him. I feel like she would have had it planned out in her head and had perfect words for it (like Hermione always does) but she would soo be the one to be afraid to say it. Girls lack a lot of courage with that kind of stuff because we're so self conscious!

On the other hand, I think you hit it head-on with Ron being the one to not be able to word something like that the right way. There's no doubt in my mind that he'd be able to say it to her with no problem if he only knew HOW! He tends to be the one to blurt things out and speak his mind, so I'm glad you incorporated that into your story where hes the one to bring it up :)

For some reason I can't really picture Ron being that romantic with Hermione... I picture him being more sarcastic and joking about how much he loves her, but then again we really didn't get to see how romantic he can be with girls in the series... Maybe he changed after the war! It was still really sweet and I loved the way he told her, but maybe if you added in a joke or two it might seem more realistic for him :)

The descriptions were really nice, too. I loved how you added in some small details that weren't necessarily needed but definitively added some depth to the story. Particularly this line:

- "The sudden sound of his voice startled her, making her prick herself on a thorn. She pressed the bleeding spot into her trousers to soak up the blood, grateful that he hadn't seen."

I loved it! Its something so small and realistic and not many people add in details like that...

Anyways, great story! it was very well written and I loved it! :)
