Review #1, by GirlOnTheSidelines Restraint

8th February 2013:
Hello!

I absolutely loved this! It is so interesting reading something from Benjamin's point of view. This was so sweet as well, seeing Roxie from his eyes and the fact that they are younger too. Loved the bit about the squid and its babies.

Interesting to see Roxie's friends as well, especially as we haven't seen them much (if at all) in Abandon. But Benjamin doesn't exactly do much to help his reputation, does he?

"A passionate moment between my mouth and your nose. Best. Line. Ever. I laughed so hard at that.

Off the read some more of Abandon now but seriously, well done with this, it was great.

Lots of love,
GirlOnTheSidelines x

Author's Response: Hello!

Hey there! I'm so happy that you loved this one-shot. Its always nice getting into Benjamin's head, right? He's actually not that hard of a character to get into, he's really fun and straight forward...kind of weird but you know, its Ben. Hahahha.
Roxanne from his eyes is something really special I think. He has no ill will towards her and it really showed that he does care about her, despite how he acts in Abandon. :3
Hahaha, the giant squid babies! For some reason, I like the idea of the giant squid being female.
Oh, you meet Roxanne's friends in Abandon soon, particularly Adam Jordan sometime down the line. I hadn't really concentrated on that but I will in the future and Ben really doesn't care about his reputation. He's just a force of nature.
Hahahahaha! A passionate moment between your mouth and my nose comes from George in This is Angelina. I wonder if anyone caught that at some point? But its been a while since you've read that! Hahaha. Roxanne is so much like her father that I thought adding that line in would be really cute.
Hope you enjoy Abandon! ;) Can't wait to see you again! :D
Much love,
Gabbie

Review #2, by patronus_charm Restraint

5th February 2013:
Hi Gabbie! I'm here with your review, and can I just say I love your banner it's great!

The first line was great, as you know I don't entirely like Benjamin, but I guess hearing what he has to go through everyday, and all that prejudice directed at him musn't be an easy thing to go through at all. So I guess this helping me to sort of sympathise with him!

This line though did make me lose my sympathy for him and made me worry greatly about his mental state!

I'm her pet and she's my master. Benjamin retorted smartly and the girls gawped up at him and he sent the companion a sly glance. She frowned, got an issue with Weasley?

Benjamin is just so strange really, I don't know whether it's because he has issues about him being adopted, or whether it's because he's a Malfoy, or he's just plain weird, but it would be interesting to explore the reasons behind his actions!

I can now see why Benjamin doesn't descriminate against her as much, due to her not resembling the Weasley traits much. And this is followed through by his relatively postive comments about her parents.

Ben's thoughts were suprinsgly not that strange which was a pleasant surprise, and it was interesting to get his persepctive on everything, as it made me more able to understand him, and get a better feel for what he's going through.

I think it was a great addition to the Abandon story, as I loved reading stories like this, as it allows you to explore a new perspective, which you never imagined before:)

I will read the lastest chapter of Abandon soon, so look out for that! Kiana :)

Author's Response: Hello!

Hey, there lovely. Thanks for stopping by with this review and liking my banner! I'd had something more complicated in mind for it but it turned out very nice despite that. :3
The artists at TDA are awesome!
I don't think anyone can say that they really 'like' Benjamin, especially at this point but I'm glad that you were able to sympathize with him on some level. He's a hard character to write because he's so complex and all of the hate he gets from others because of his last name really defines him on some things.
Bwhahaha! That line isn't meant for you to worry about his mental state, though you sould sometimes. Benjamin is very sarcastic and the line about her being his master and he his pet is just a taste of that. And, I'll admit it, he's weird. He's very, very weird.
I think as I continue writing Abandon, I'll go through alot of what his issues are and hopefully you'll be able to understand him better. Added with the flashbacks in Abandon and you might actually gain to like him just a little, though I doubt it. HAHHHA. He's a hard character to actually love, though some of my reviewers actually adore him for some reason.
Its that long black braid and that smile, I think. ;)
Benjamin has known Roxanne for a long time and even if she looked like her cousins, he woudl probably still like her. She's actually nice to him and he says something like that, which explains why he can't stop seeing her. He's the sort that isn't offered much genuine kindness. ;D
And he honestly does like her parents, you'll see in Abandon if you read the latest chapter, he's got a crush on her mum.
Ben's thoughts aren't really as weird as they COULD be but they are a little out there. I'm glad that you were able to understand him better. :D
For now. MWhahhahhahaa.
I love doing companion one-shots for my stories and I think you should check out the others on here! :D Please? Hahahha.
Hope to see you soon and thanks for the review lovely! :)
Much love,
Gabbie

Review #3, by CassiePotter Restraint

9th January 2013:
Gabbie this was amazing!!! You know how much I love Ben, so reading something that really let us into his mindset was fascinating! I really loved how conflicted he was in his thoughts about Roxanne. He's not sure how he feels about her, or how he should feel about her, and I love how much he's aware of it. I also loved the moment at the end when they were talkin about their families and he wished he could have a family like the Weasleys. It was really sweet, and showed us a bit of vulnerability from Ben, which is rare, I think. I just loved seeing him with Roxanne again! And the fact that they're a little bit younger makes this even more fun! Wonderful, wonderful work! ASOS is next up from me, and then I'm back to TFD! 10/10
Cassie :)

Author's Response: Hello!

Welcome back, Cassie! I've missed you and your awesome reviews! *Hands fat kitten*
I really love this one-shot, it was so much easier for me to write and I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much. I think this entire piece is mostly about Ben's feelings for Roxanne and how conflicted he is about his own emotions. Ben is the sort of person who's aware of his emotions more than Roxanne so it was fun to explore that side him too. The differences between them were really apparent when they were talking about their families. It showed just how much their worlds could never intertwine the way that Ben would, probably want. Vulnerability from Ben is going to be very rare, he's so guarded that I don't think he'll give me those scenes willingly. The jerk. Hehehe.
I'm hopefully going to get Abandon up there after a while. I have the next chapter done already, I'm just waiting on Audrey to be up there and then you'll finally get A Force of Wills and know Blaise's fate. >:D
After that, I guess I'm going back to Albus but that depends on my mood. :p
Thanks again for coming back and can't wait for ASOS! Look out for Audrey and Percy tomorrow hopefully (If it isn't rejected for its raunchiness.)
Much love,
Gabbie

Review #4, by Casper Restraint

7th January 2013:
Loved this- I really appreciate you letting us get into Ben's head! I was wondering what was exactly going in there! This was an awesome companion to Abandon, and it definitely will tide me over until there is an update for that...(hint hint ;) haha)!

Side note: in the last sentence I think you meant letting instead of 'lettering', but that's just a quick typo :)

I like their relationship, it's very sweet and built on an actual foundation- not thinly contrived, it seems they actually connect on an emotional level which is very nice to read :)

Thanks for the awesome one-shot :)

Author's Response: Hello!

Hey, its good to see you again! I didn't think that anyone would even read this one-shot, to be honest but this is so nice. :D
Ben's head is a dangerous place to be, isn't it though? I was a tad frightened of getting into it myself because he's just so complex. And hilarious. Hahahhaa.
I'm so glad that it went well with Abandon, I'd hoped I would be able to mix the two well. For a moment I had my doubts...so many doubts. Hahahha.
I'll be updating for that as soon as I get some of my other stories done, I promise. I have two other WIPs to get finished and Abandon's next chapter is already done. :D
Ah. I'll go and fix that typo! >_<
Ben and Roxie's relationship here is very sweet, its built on something that they can't even name. And I think it showed here really well. :)
Thanks for coming back!
Much love,
Gabbie
