Review #1, by LittleLionGirl I will always keep you safe

12th August 2013:
Aw! This was so sweet wrapped in such a scary situation. I think it seems a very James thing to do- wanting Christmas all the time haha. I can really feel Lily's fear- especially with leaving Harry; which by the way was a nice note to start on! A job well done :)
XOXOXOXOXOX,

Author's Response: Thank tou for the review.

James is hilarious to write because he can be serious and a joker at the same time. I also love writing Lily as I can relate to her lots and her fears with her child.

Thanks again

Review #2, by nott theodore I will always keep you safe

18th July 2013:
Hello! You left me such a lovely review on my HC one-shot the other day and I wanted to return the favour, especially when I saw that this was James/Lily, my OTP!

I love the way that you write James and Lily's relationship here. They're such a cute couple but had to face so much difficulty together in their short lives, and yet they still manage to be happy in the short time they have. They must have been in love for their relationship to have survived the awful times they were faced with, and you conveyed that brilliantly here.

The opening was really cute, and I felt like you set the scene well in a couple of sentences, allowing you to focus more on James and Lily in the rest of the story. I felt quite sad seeing how upset Lily was at the prospect of losing Harry, or being in hiding for life. It all comes true within months of this moment, and that's just heartbreaking to think of.

James was great at cheering Lily up, the way that I always imagined him to be. I loved the fact that she tried to pretend she was still angry but she couldn't help smiling at what he was saying. The two of them are just so cute!

I noticed a couple of typos here and there but they're nothing major. I really loved this story - well done!

Sian :)

Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I love them as a pairing too so 'm glad that you do!

I love writing their relationship as a fun loving one here and I wanted to show it with the little bit of hope but Lily's sadness.

My openings always involve a lot of description as I do love to set the scene. I know it all comes true but I in a way try not to ponder on that when I was writing it.

Thank you for the review!

Review #3, by HollyStone73 I will always keep you safe

6th July 2013:
This is such a cute, but sad little story. I can totally feel the despair that Lily is feeling. The restless trapped hopelessness that they all were feeling reads well throughout the story. I absolutely love James trying to comfort her and his promise of keeping her and Harry safe. Although we all know how their story ends, there is an air of hope that cuts through all of the sadness. Very well written! I liked it a lot.

Author's Response: Thank you for the review.

Lily is in a desperate state at the moment and I feel that is something I was eager to show through. James is just as scared in a way but holding it together because of Lily.

I don't like how the story ends so when I'm writing James and Lily I do try to make sure I don't dwell too much on the end but I do like the bittersweetness of the story.

Thanks again

Review #4, by 800 words of heaven I will always keep you safe

6th July 2013:
REVIEW TAG!

Okay, so I was going to have a browse through your page and see what caught my eye but, JILY IS MY OTP AND I COULDN'T RESIST!

I really liked the way you opened with a couple of descriptive paragraphs. It really set the mood and feel for the story! And the visual imagery itself was quite vivid, yet still felt very romantic.

Your introduction to Lily and James' relationship, where he was trying to hide the presents, and she just rolled her eyes was humorous, yet still telling, as it showed their two different personalities and how well they understood the other.

I was getting a little teary myself as James was talking, and trying to cheer Lily up. It was so sad, because we, as the readers, know what's going to happen, but they don't, and you just feel like... UGH! WHY? But then on the other hand, it's great that you're showing James as being optimistic, because it's good for them to enjoy each moment they have. But again - UGH! WHY? Because I had all the feels at the bit about Christmas.

So this was such a wonderful piece, and was quite emotional, despite its short length. Wonderful work!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review!

JILY is awesome isn't it. I do love them as a couple but I also love to look at them as a family with Harry too.

Description is something I am a bit keen to do as I love to set a scene and I really feel description helps with the mood of the story which I love.

Although Lily and James are different they work so well together like 2 pieces of a puzzle.
James and Lily together are so cute. I don't like the ending of the actual story so I like to end mine with a little bit of hope!

Thanks again!

Review #5, by adluvshp I will always keep you safe

14th February 2013:
Aw this was such a sad little story! It is even sadder that Lily's fears come true, it is their last christmas. I liked your descriptions a lot, especially in the beginning. I enjoyed James' light nature as well. This was short but really very sweet. I would have loved it to be longer though and get a deeper glimpse into the lives of James, Lily, and Harry. An appearance of Sirius would have been awesome too.

Good work!
Cheers!

P.S. Yes, I decided to randomly pop in with a random review for you Summer! Happy Valentines =)

Author's Response: Hi Aditi!

I know it's a little bit sad but as you can tell its become a little bit of a niche for me at the moment. I know its the last christmas which makes it a little more sad.

I do like to keep things short but I do agree that I could have added a little more to their relationship!

Thank you again!
