House Cup 2014 Review

Hello :) THIS is why you're one of why favourite authors. I laugh like a maniac whenever I read one of your parodies. If you haven't guessed by now, I'm a huge fan. I've been reading a lot of depressing stories for this review competition, so this story (and a couple of others) was really a much needed break from that genre.

I laughed so much. All of these sequences had a tonne of funny jokes and references! I love how you crammed in so many stereotypes and took a dig at all of them. The Mary Sue one was pure genius. The descriptions and everything! OH GOSH it was hilarious!

the whole idea behind this was amazing as well. There wasn't one dry moment, especially when you're making references to Beiber's terrible music, or Princess Leia's iconic hairstyle. That talk show too, woah! So funny dude. And Peter Pettrigrew? That last speech? All these fanfcition references? Your story just kept getting better and better. I love this series of yours and Voldemort is so funny!

I must stop because I'm attempting speedy reviews, but I can't forget to complement you on the dialogues. They were hilarious. Especially Mrs Weasley's. Great job :D

Author's Response: Hey again, I really appreciate all these reviews!

I assume you've come across the infamous "Voldemort's daughter" trope, and it amuses me how she's always a perfect Mary Sue. Imagine if he had a perfectly average daughter?

Another thing that always amused me is imagining what the Skywalkers' home life would have been like had they been a normal family. There would have surely been some awkward moments.

And poor Peter, he always seems to get left out.

Thanks again!

Here from Review Tag :)

I would love to be a fly on the wall when you write this craziness. I imagine it involves some combination of Red Bull and Mad Libs and TMZ. Then again, perhaps I should just stay safe over here after all...

Anyway, another excellent installment in the Voldemort series! I love what you did with Voldemort and Justinian eavesdropping on the Sorting--perhaps that little 'security problem' from the Snape-as-Headmaster year was never quite looked into sufficiently. And of course being the host of a trashy TV show is a perfect post-Hogwarts role for Gilderoy Lockhart. At least Voldemort doesn't owe any child support, poor chap. Peter may be eating his words when he gets the bill...

Also, the Vader scene may have been my favorite. He really knows what to say to make a girl feel special, haha. Poor Leia.

I don't know what else to say except this was awesome and I hope there are more installments to come in the epic tale of Voldemort's post-war life.

Author's Response: Hey there, your description really isn't that far off:)

So with all the Voldemort's daughter type stories out there (why is it never a son?) I felt pretty obligated to write something like this at some point.

While Peter was very excited to be included in the story, as usual, he really has no idea what he's getting into.

If Vader had survived, I can only imagine what the dynamics at a Skywalker family dinner would have been like.

Thanks for the great review!

Average number of laughs per minute: four.
Average number of tears of laughter per minute: one.
Average number of times my friend stared at me like I was weird whilst reading this per minute: 5.
This was hilarious!
The Gilderoy Lockheart Show; the dancing house elves, Darth Vader; Justianian Beaverton, the apparating to Hogwarts to heckle first years; Molly Weasley randomly showing up and killing Bellatrix. It was all brilliant!!!
Please please write more of these amazingly hilarious one shots. They're so funny!

Author's Response: Thanks a lot for the review, glad you enjoyed it!

I don't think I've ever read one of your one-shots without it making me laugh... and properly laugh, at that. Highlight of this one for me was, by some distance, the Alderaan line.

Somewhat disappointed that "Akbar, Andrew" didn't get up off his seat proclaiming, "It's A Trap!", mind. Maybe that's for another crossover...

Author's Response: I't always great when somebody appreciates the Star Wars references. Thanks a lot for the review!
