I wandered back to this website after many years, and found your new (to me) story. Another great Lavender tale, good job!

One suggestion: Maybe you could put hints of Lavender's bigger role before the end?

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm basically just like you although I do check in a bit more frequentluy (maybe once month). I still sign into the forum maybe a few times a year. But new social media like Facebook grabbed my internet time (and online chess & scrabble, but I'm a better writter than a chess player ( I gotta stop playing Ron's gambit as black (Scandanvian defense) and I'm at last sick of it)

As for this tale, its is fairly new (less than a year) the first tale added in about 3 years I think. I suddenly developed the need to write it after wasting time one cold winter day reading old forum posts. I like the idea you presented and it makes sense that some foreshadowing is needed, but I don't have any clue as to how I could 'hint' though, but maybe a brainstorm will strike one day (I haven't read it in full in a while) and I'll decide to waste time revising it.

You mentioned the other Lavender tale which is the "Pipsqueak Warrior" and that is not on hiatus. I actually write a bit on it each month (its my opus) and I have completely rewritten the thing (mainly the first chapter) but haven't posted it. I've learned not to post until perfection.I ran into timeline problems because so much was written as a flashback and to get the right consistent tone for dark second person writing especially in sections written so many years apart is difficult. But about a month ago in rare idle time - On a Amtrak train ride to Albany, NY which I figured was a good time to edit old fanfiction as long as I didn't read it out loud, LOL! - I found a way around the the timeline blunder I'd made and so all I have to do is find time to fix it up and write it, plus two or three chapters that if I ever get to should flow fast (at least for first drafts. But this story will be finished and posted here in complete fashion one day! Thanks for your review, Pink!
