Hi! PunIntended from the Fairy Tale Challenge! Sorry it took such a long time :b (School, job, yuckiness)

Thank you very much for participating! What a beautiful entry! This is such an interresting interpretation of Sleeping Beauty. I love dark fairy tales without a happy ending.
I really liked that you used James and Lily's death for this. Sirius's reaction and emotions were perfect! This was beautiful and sad and i loved it!

Wonderful work!

Author's Response: Hey! Don't worry - I totally understand what it means to have time run away from you - school, job, yuckiness all on this end too.

Thank you so much for having me participate! I'm really glad you seem to enjoy it. The English Major in me kept reminding me that fairy tales were dark in nature - so I couldn't get away from that. I'm glad that it actually paid off! Glad to think that I was spot on for Sirius - it was just one of those moments that have been nagging me in the series - and this was the perfect way to play with it.

Honestly, I think this is brilliant. I really don't have anything else to say because, well, this is one of the few one-shots I actually find breathtakingly maddening, which, I suppose, is a good thing considering the story you're telling is something scarring, eery. And the eloquence and truth woven into this is outstanding. Well done.

Author's Response: Wow. Thanks so much! I have to say it's the first time anyone's considered my stuff 'breathtakingly maddening' - but that is definitely a good thing and I take it to heart. Especially with it being a one-shot, I'm glad that I seemed to have got everything in there I wanted to capture in such a short span. Thank you so much for this lovely review!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading! Glad my take at a true tragedy one-shot actually worked out.
