Try writing something on your own(not with a friend), that way it gets more personal and you feel more connected to the story cause it's "your own". 2. Don't have such great gaps between each "paragraph", it's kinda distracting. 3. Big no-no on these *. 4. Try to always expand your vocabulary; use the thesaurus to find new combinations of words - keep your readers intrigued and on their toes with each sentence. Keep practicing!
