Well, this is quite interesting.

I like the beginning. I can already tell that Edie is quite intelligent--it was obvious within three sentences or less that she was a Ravenclaw--and the vocabulary is of a very high-level, which reflects that perfectly.

Of course Iím interested to know why a 16 year old appears to have her own flat, and how she became so completely estranged from her family. Winter--thatís an interesting name for a boy. Surname or first? Well, I hope I get to find out what heís like. And Romy sounds like a very considerate friend. Plus, she goes on archaeological digs! We havenít even met her yet, and sheís earning major cool points.

Wow, Edieís relationship with her sister is sort of...abysmally awkward, isnít it? Iím quite curious about that, too. The tension is palpable. Interesting that Edie seems so reluctant to accept her sisterís small kindnesses (if thatís what they really are). I wonder what happened to make their relationship what it is.

This was quite well-written. Iíll be eagerly awaiting the next installment. Itís off to a great start, and Iím very glad I ran across it.
