I really love this little snapshot into Alice's mind. I thought it was beautifully written and oh so sad. The fact that she seems to have some vague sense of what's going on and then to realise it's her son and try to reach out to him only to be hindered by the barrier in her own mind is just... And Neville will never know! So sad! This was so great, I love it :')

This was beautifully written. It was a shame that Alice never broke through the barrier in her mind, it would have been a nice finish for Neville to have his parents restored to him.
Nicely done and 10/10. Adding to favs.

Wow. That was absolutely beautiful. I loved every single bit of it. There was so much emotion going on, and it was wonderful to read Alice's thoughts. I always wondered if she was aware of what was happening around her and her husband. You've done an amazing job on this one-shot, well done! I enjoyed it very, very much!

The romantic and optimist in me would like to say that, yes, Alice and Frank do realize (vaguely, like when you know you've been dreaming and can't remember about what) what's going on around them. She did give him many gum wrappers and little 'gifts,' after all.
