Review #1, by monstrosity Coming home

4th February 2014:
Hello again!

Aw, Scorpius is the cutest thing ever! I'm going to be a bit philosophical here, but it's nice to bring in a child's perspective into the story. Keeping in mind that these people were practically children themselves when they were thrown into Azkaban, it's refreshing to see a burst of innocence in a sea of haunting memories. The nice thing about children that young is that they don't possess the ability to judge, which is just the thing Marcus needs.
Coming home is a very apt title for this chapter. Marcus is just entering familiarity, something he could only dream about during his stay in Azkaban. The whole 'happy families' situation is sounding a bit too perfect to be true, until the whole Astoria freaks out on Draco moment. It's heartwarming to see how they easily welcome back Marcus into their group. They all understand and empathize with what he went through, which is why I assume it was so easy for them to welcome him back.
The introduction of Justin is an interesting turn of events. Justin, as I'm sure you know, is a muggleborn and for an originally 'blood purity obsessed' Pansy to be dating him shows how much she's changed since Azkaban. She no longer cares for such things anymore, a drastic shift in personality.

Overall, this was another great chapter and i'm awaiting Katie's reappearance. Update soon!

Review #2, by monstrosity Old rivalries

4th February 2014:
Hello!

I really couldn't resist leaving a review on this story. It's so beautiful. I love the whole 'society is judging' theme because it really shows a whole new dimension to the children we considered 'evil' in the books. No matter how bad they seem, none of them deserve to go to Azkaban. It's just horrible and I'm so glad that Kingsley had the sense to help them re create their lives.

Marcus is an interesting character up till now. He must be really mentally strong because after all those years in Azkaban, he still hasn't gone crazy. Or perhaps he has gone insane by pureblood standards, which definitely isn't a bad thing. I'm really liking his venture into the world of journalism. From what we've gathered from the books, Rita Skeeter must be a very strange and unnerving boss to work under. I'm curious to know how this arrangement is going to work out.

The most heart breaking part of this chapter would probably be the part where Marcus describes what he and his friends went through during their time at Azkaban. Your description of the event was so amazing that I could really picture it in my mind.

What I also find interesting is that you haven't limited your 'judging' theme to ex-Slytherins alone. You've also shown how Katie is being judged. Everyone considers her only from the Quidditch perspective, at least Marcus does, instead of viewing her as a person. Quidditch is (was) only one aspect of her life. Hence, Marcus is being a little hypocritical here by not wanting to be judged and yet judging Katie. I'm very curious to know how exactly she developed that limp, which means that you need to be updating very soon ;)

Finally someone writes about Marcus! I'm soo happy I stumbled onto this :) You pulled the angry death eater off. Though we didn't see much in this chapter, like I wish there would've been a flashback or something similiar to show what was it exactly that got him into prison.

But all in all I loved it.

Author's Response: A flashback might be written- that or Marcus will end up discusing it with Katie in a later chapter. Most likely the latter.

Thank you so much. :)

oh,oh,oh! First off, kudos to you for venturing out to Marcus Flint, whom is--if i understand correctly--is a character rarely touched on.

So I'm guessing this is going to be a Marcus/Katie? Or am I misinterpreting it?

I have to say,I figured this would be good, but for some unknown reason,I feel really attached to this story. I really, really, really love it! I don't know why,but I just latch myself on to some stories(:

Do you need/would you like a beta?If so,shoot me a PM! I am so favoriting! 10/10

xoxo

Ever

Author's Response: It will be a Marcus/Katie. Eventually. If they ever get their act together. They're some pretty messed up characters, but they'll get it in the end. (I think) :)

Thank you so much for the review. XD

Review #6, by AlphabetDesperado Old rivalries

13th February 2012:
I like this so far. I think it's got the potential to be a good story. It's intriguing, and I feel like you're doing a fine job with the characters so far, particularly Marcus (as you should be, after all, you are writing first person from his point of view). Katie still seems a little flat, but you've only just introduced her so I'm thinking she'll develop as you write more. I'm hoping you do write more because it is interesting so far. I just love stories with minor characters.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. :)

I'll work on Katie. I find her a little hard to write at times, but she's not supposed to be the nicest person to Marcus during the beginning of the story either.

And I'm glad you love Marcus. He's truly kind of a sweetheart.

Again, thank you for the review. :)
