Well I was half right about were you were headed! I am enjoying this so far but the one thing I don't like so much is that the characters don't always seem to fit with canon. Now this may be your intention and if so that is fine, but personally I always prefer the canon characters to be very similar to how JKR wrote them. An example in this chapter is Harry crying - I don't really feel like this is something that he would do. So far I would give you a 6 or 7/10 so do please continue.

Hi again :) Once more I have to say that I find some of the things you write to be a little different to the characters we know from the books, like how short Harry was with Ron and Hermione. These are only small things so don't worry too much. Your tenses were better in the this chapter in that I didn't really notice any problems with them at all! I think I know what will happen next but I'll keep going to check if I am right...

Nice. I must admit I find the idea of James keeping a diary a little hard to believe but I understand that you may need it to make the story work, and it's also an interesting insight. Again, please check your tenses as it does make the story hard to read, but I am liking it so far.

Hi there :) Stumbled across this story on my travels around the site and I must say that this seems like a really nice idea. I am intrigued and looking forward to seeing exactly what Harry discovered. Knowing the Marauders I expect it's something exciting.
One small thing - I found it a little difficult to read with all the changes of tense, and I wasn't entirely sure which tense you were trying to write in. I know this can put people off a little so you might want to edit it a bit. Still, please don't get disheartened and I am off to read the next chapter :)
