I'm glad you are back. I think that only someone who writes a story has any idea how much work they take. I think I read you when I first came to this site well over two years ago, and was sorry that your big story seemed to be abandon.
I have an outline, actually a rough draft, all the way through the 19 years. One of the things that all the Christmas parts of the story point out is that everyone but the Potters have other family to go to. I happen to have Christmas day for the Weasley clan, as it gets bigger and bigger, but Christmas Eve for the in-laws, except of course for Harry and Ginny. Never thought about James, Albus and Lilly being upset because they only had one set of grandparents, although that is perfectly logical. Really good story.
