First of all, I'm sorry it took me so long to reply. I have to say, this was very chilling. Nobody ever really focuses on how the time that Voldemort spent at the Malfoy Manor would affect the family, especially Draco. I adored the way you portrayed him... angsty, wanting to be in control of everything, and the feelings of helplessness when he realized what he had gotten himself into back when he was a teenager. I actually was hoping that you would be continuing this story once I finished reading it, even though I know it is a one-shot! Excellent job. =)Author's Response: Thanks for getting to this. I really liked this challenge and it was a chance to write about something which I haven't heard much of, just as you say. And it was very challenging for me, I must say :P In my head, Draco was always too fragile to be on the dark side. He's got it all in his mouth, but can't walk the walk. Poor boy. I'd actually have enjoyed writing a bit mroe to this, but getting that close to Draco scares me a little, in the sense, of 'what if I'm completely off with this?'.. if you know what I mean. So I better just stick to the one-shot. Thanks for the review! Report Review
