Review #1, by maskedmuggle Every Carnation Has Its Thorn

12th July 2014:

Aw, this was so heartbreakingly sad for Ron. I'm someone who's actually quite open to Dramione and so I'm not really going to comment on how realistic the portrayal of it was here, since that wasn't the focal point of the story. What I loved was how believable and canon your portrayal of Ron was - I can totally imagine him trying to find out one last time why Hermione chose Draco over him and how he just can't accept the truth and ends up throwing a vase over her. I felt so sorry for Ron though, and you did a fantastic job conveying his struggling emotions to figure out why his Hermione wasn't really his. Great job writing this, and also with conveying the emotions so well and writing the dialogue so fantastically. Enjoyed reading this :)

Review #2, by Pretense Of Perfection Every Carnation Has Its Thorn

9th July 2014:
Well this is certainly different than the typical Draco/Hermione. I definitely expected it to be Draco at Hermione and Ron's wedding, and that him and Hermione were either still having an affair or had just ended it. I was pleasantly surprised. I think Ron was kept perfectly in character, and I can actually imagine him picking up the vase and splashing the water on her in anger, even if he had gone there with the intentions of keeping his cool. He has always been a bit of a hot head, and doesn't exactly think through his reactions before he acts upon them. I think Hermione might have been a little bit out of character, I'm not sure I see her being this cold toward Ron, regardless of loving Draco, but then again, this is a one-shot, so we as the readers don't have the entire story. He could've killed her cat for all I know. I didn't notice any spelling or grammar errors, good job! I think the story moved along at a nice pace. Well done!!

Review #3, by luvinpadfoot Every Carnation Has Its Thorn

Poor Ron! I feel so bad for him. I love the symbolism of the carnations meaning rejection. It makes it seem like Ron's being rejected once by Hermione and once by the wedding itself. It's a really great little story.
