Right, so here's the deal...I FREAKING LOVE YOUR STORIES! You know how most people read a chapter and then review, well I read the whole thing then review! I think I reviewed something of yours before as well...sorry for stalking!
This story is just perfect, this was my second time reading it and I still loved it! Vanessa reminds me of myself in some ways with her cluelessness and lack of tact but she's awesome:) I love Lily, she's like my favourite person ever, I like how you portrayed her and when she was letting rip and practically screaming the facts at the both of them, I was not at all shocked! I would do the same, it would infuriate me. Oh and btw nearly wee'd at "will you marry my wife?"
But yeah I'm a huge fan of your writing, I hope another story is updated soon! Well done x

I like it but you need to make Vanessa and Lily's personality more clear. I loved you whole love thing with George. It's like how he could never cast a patronus again after Fred's death.

I really like how he messed up the proposal -it was really
endearing and sweet and funny :)
I did like Vanessa a lot more in the beginning of the story -
before she fell in love with Hugo and was all clueless. But
even though she turned out to be a bubblehead, I liked how
she was generally a very nice, sweet, and caring person.
And though this story was a bit soppy at times (a lot of the
time...haha) I still enjoyed it because it was funny and silly
and it made me smile :)

Author's Response: well, this story was already full of cheese so why not add a little bit more? blargh. i hate this thing.
i didn't really like vanessa throughout any of the story, because she was such a bubblehead ~ but i know what you mean, it seemed to get much worse after she fell in love with hugo. she became even more ditzy that she used to be. she was a nice person... just very irritating.
a /bit/ soppy? a /bit/? this story makes me cringe, because as much as i like fluff, it being that chock full of it? it's painful. actually painful.

I like it! I think it would be easier to read if you put the paragraphs back together/don't press return after every sentence, though. It will... I don't know... sound less choppy. A new paragraph means a new topic, not a new sentence. :)
Anyway, I really like your story. I like how I can already tell what your characters are like after only one chapter. You have a talent; I can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: i am aware of how dodgy the formatting is for this story, especially for the first half or so ~ it bugs me, but it would take another massive edit for me to put everything back together. this story was written a very long time ago, and at the time i had a vague obsession with all the jokes being laid out on a line each. i know it reads very brokenly because of it. but i'm glad you enjoyed it, and i hope you enjoy the rest :D

Good chapter. I can't wait to continue the story. just one thing that bugged me... Christmas (or any school holiday) would be a very expensive time to go on holiday. It could only be relatively cheaper on a last minute deal or booked in advance.

Loving the interaction between them both...now they just need to talk about their feelings

Out of the whole story, I think this is my favourite chapter. It's so vivid and funny. (The next chapter is just as amazing)

Your characterisation is what I love best, Vanessa is so clueless, but then again, so is Hugo. They are completely perfect together, and half the time I wonder what would have happened had they not been interrupted ... O.o

I think I'm favourite authoring you, 'cause I've read all your other stuff and it's even more amazing - halfway through Being Summer - and 'Bang' is my fave now that this one is complete(congrats on that!) but mostly it's your writing style that's best, considering how brilliantly perfect the characters all seem to be!

Vanessa is adorable and endearing but it's getting kind of annoying that she's become such a bubble head...though maybe that's just me. She seems kind of smart occaisionally but really, her IQ must be lower than that of a squirrel if she doesn't even consider that Hugo likes her at this point. Since he keeps kissing her and getting jealous and staring lovingly into her eyes, etcetera. I can't understand at all how she doesn't think he may like her...unless she just thinks he's very hormonal...or something..?
It may be completely ridiculous in some ways, but it's still cute and I like reading it. :)

Author's Response: vanessa is... annoying. urgh. but i suppose she could be considered adorable... but in an annoying way. she really doesn't look past the surface of anything, and she doesn't ever dwell on anything ~ so she doesn't ever understand. i think a squirrel would be offended that you would be using it as an example. she basically thinks that he wants something to snog and because she's there then he just uses her. she's stupid and doesn't think very much.
