Review #1, by xtinjsc Getting it right

9th August 2011:
It wouldn't be entirely surprising if this actually happened in canon. We all know Snape is possibly one of the most patient, most determined and most loyal person in the book. If he did decide on giving Lily space and wait, I'm sure he'd stick to that decision and indeed wait for the right moment to rekindle their friendship, you know?

It's a little sad that we all know what happens after this, though. They didn't get the chance to fix their friendship, they lived their lives separately, lead completely different lives, fought for completely opposite causes... it's rather heartbreaking.

This was a simple and short one-shot about one moment, one pivotal moment, and you've written it really well. This story was really insightful. It was a pleasure to read this. Good job!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed this, thank you :) It's good to hear you think this could've happened in canon. And I agree, that's really quite sad.
Thanks for all the compliments, and thank you for your review!

Awwh I really liked this. I didn't expect a Severus story, but it works really well. The song is there, but it's really subtle which is very nice. Good job overall :)

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I didn't expect it to become one either, but it just worked out this way :)
Thank you for your review!

Review #3, by Timechild Getting it right

31st May 2011:
Nice start.

It needs more detail. She wouldn't talk to him again, but what was she feeling when she told him to go away? How was Snape feeling when he made the decision not to pursue her anymore?

Add this stuff and the fic would be a very good fic.

Author's Response: Thanks :)

Hm, I was certain there was already quite some detail in this - it's from Snape's POV, so I can't really discuss what Lily was feeling at that moment. What Snape was thinking at that moment was in the chapter - she had made her point, she didn't want to see him again, and he doesn't want to force her.

Thank you for your review :)
