So I like this idea, but there are a few things you could do to improve the story. One thing would be to stay in the same tense. I prefer past tense, myself, and I think that's what most authors use. It's a lot less confusing if you pick one and stick to it. Another thing is to make Kara a little bit more interesting. Does she have friends? If no, get her some, because that makes her boring. You can have friends but still be unsure of yourself. What's her family like? Siblings at Hogwarts? What's her personality like? Please, please don't make her boring. She can be sweet or quirky or something and still be unconfident. Lastly, keep it real. Kara and the Marauders should not be on super extreme opposite ends of the ego spectrum. They still have to be likable. Other than these things, the story is pretty good. Happy holidays! xo - Cat
