Review #1, by Ronsgirl29 The Photograph

23rd April 2011:
Haha, your statement was pretty ironic because I'm so sad now! Well, the ending was cute when she gave him a kiss, but her mother dying just about broke my heart! I know it's canon that both Lily and James' parents are dead by the time Harry is born (because thats why harry ends up with the Dursleys!) but everytime I see a story about it I just get so sad. They were so young to have to go through so much.

I think you did a nice job of showing her grief process, and made a nice balance of showing what she was going through and having a balance of the sadness with some romance with James. And I liked the way you used the picture, by having it be a picture of her mom in paris. It was such an intersting way to put it in, because it really doesn't affect the plot but it adds to it.

Thanks for entering my challenge!

Author's Response: I do unfortunately have a habit of doing that--saying "Happy reading" at a sad story. It gets me, too. It really does. I don't know why I wrote it, but I felt I had to, you know?

Whew, thanks for that! I was nervous her romantic bit at the end wouldn't fit in well with the mourning. I'm glad it did.

I instantly thought of Lily's mother, the second I saw that picture. I don't know why.

Thanks for reviewing! The challenge was fun--you should consider a round 3!

Author's Response: I felt bad having the premise so sad, but it worked well, I hope. Thank you very much.
