I hope this indicates the beginning of June becoming a bit more independent and sure of herself... but I have been wrong in the past. And she stops reading romance novels, but that is more wishful thinking than anything else :P I'm enjoying the Sherlock (Cumberbatch version) Albus, makes him that little bit more attractive, yes? But I'm enjoying the story anyway... despite June being a Hufflepuff... :P

Author's Response: LOL to the Sherlock (Cumberbatch version) Albus...he isn't as much of an...let's stick with the 12+ version of a clueless, unfeeling prick as Sherlock. He's certainly somewhere on that spectrum though! And I don't personally find that more attractive but to each their own - and I hope you'll find that as the story goes, June being a Hufflepuff is a good thing! I used to feel like being in Hufflepuff was kind of lame too, but as I got into this story and writing more about the Hufflepuffs, I got more fond of the house and I hope you'll feel that way too! I loved how you made fun of all the cliches that I swear are way more present in next gen fanfiction than any other time.

why is al such a douche? and why is she so, um, you know, silly? BUT REGARDLESS, i love this story and im really excited to see how it unfolds, i like how you haven't made the characters perfect, it makes them more realistic. but i really hope June gets a little more sense in her and Al becomes a little less harsh. and it would be cool if June and Lily became friends. June is so frustrating and clueless, and brainless. Ugh, sorry. I mean, you've done a really good job developing her, and giving her, her own personality and soul, but ohmygod she just irks me. I'm more of a Priscilla kind of girl (that girl's my hero by the way, epic rants are epic rants) and June's undying optimism and blind, shallow feelings towards Albus just make me want to shake her and tell her to wake up, damn it.

Albus is such a git. I really like that you made him mean without giving him a sob story to explain his pratness. It makes him realistic, because there really are people out there that are just mean for the heck of it. I can be mean myself without a reason, although not to the extent Albus is.

Priscilla is just awesomeness. For real. I mean, I rarely fangirl over fanfiction characters, especially females, but she's just really brill. If she was a real person, she'd be my best friend, I swear.

Moving on to the next chapter now!

That was a truly wonderful conclusion to the story and this is coming from someone who didn't want to read the chapter because it would mean facing the fact that the story was ending. But, I eventually gave in and read it and and the chapter was well worth facing my fears!

The scene between June and Hufflepuff was my favorite scene. I've never thought much the purpose of Hufflepuff, but June's insight is brilliant. Helga is the Molly Weasley of Hogwarts--full of the desire to nurture her charges and make them feel like part of a family no matter their backgrounds, strengths or fears. The idea of June and her friends needing a home, a place to be safe, made me tear up.

'Bathing in Roses' has such intelligence, humor and originality. It's been an honor to have read this story, especially since you could be writing professionally There are other skilled writers who write fanfiction in Harry Potter but very, very few of them actually finish their stories. You're the elite!

Congratulations on completing your story! I love this last chapter. June does such a good job of summing up all she learned (in a nonacademic way) at Hogwarts. I loved that Helga talked to her! Amazing final chapter!

I loved her conversation with Helga. I've always had the secret desire to be a Hufflepuff. Especially after reading your story.

The prank was awesome. Especially the part where they included the badger. (Loved the mention of the Honey Badger)

I like your explanation of the 'Bathing in Roses' thing, and how she realized that nothing in that phrase was really important or necessary.

Can't wait for the sequel!
