Wow. This was a Pansy/Draco with a serious twist. I thought this was beautifully written though and even though I don't think it's particularly canon because Harry, Ron and Hermione should have recognized her Pansy on the platform in the epilogue and everything but this was actually really gorgeous. I was never a Pansy/Draco supporter because it felt a little one-sided. As if Draco was only in there for a girlfriend and simply because he didn't really care if she was there or not.

I still think this was written beautifully though. Well done for making a Pansy/Draco believable. :)

Author's Response: Thank you! To be honest, I didn't really intend to follow canon very closely. I didn't mean for this to be like a suggestion of something that might have happened in canon, rather, it was more like my response to Draco/Astoria, sort of a little declaration for Draco/Pansy. I think most people feel that way about Draco/Pansy, so I am glad you took the time to read this anyway :]

Thank you!!!

Firstly, thank you for participating in my challenge and writing it so quickly! :)

Secondly, wow. This was a really great story! Really well written, honestly, and so very original. I absolutely loved it!

Your writing is brilliant. What more can I say? Every line enhances the story, and you have a lot of powerful sentences, flowing dialogue and great imagery. The St. Valentine story was great, I really got a sense of the situation of Pansy/Draco. The whole plot is genius. Such a simple idea - changing identities, but you developed it into a real story - and then executed it so well. Tying in the plot with Valentine's Day, and Draco asking Pansy to marry him was really good as well.

Characterisation was great. I really loved how you portrayed Draco. Really loved it. It's still realistic, I think, and I love how Draco is portrayed as someone helpful, and someone who is willing to live through rejection, and keep on asking until Pansy says yes. Pansy was really well characterised as well. We saw a change in both their characters from 7th year, but they've grown up, and the new situation probably influenced that. The new situation was a great idea by the way.

What really struck me was the originality of this piece. It is a Valentine's Day story, but rather than it being a happy fluffy love fic, you made it have some dark bits in it as well. Overall, I seriously enjoyed reading this. It was something different, something amazing. Once again, thanks for participating in the challenge, and producing such amazing work!

Author's Response: Wow, I am so happy to hear you liked it! I knew when I took the challenge that I wasn't going to be able to write the usual Valentine's Day story, so I was hoping that even though it wasn't what you expected, it would work. When I got Draco/Pansy, it was kind of a mixed blessing. I write them all the time, but at the same time, it would be hard to make this story different.

Then I had my little Astoria idea and this was a perfect opportunity to explore a canon issue that I usually just ignore :P But I chose to do it for this challenge because I think the idea of traditional Valentine's Day is really about romance, and when I write romance it's usually angst ridden. But I can't think of anything more truly romantic than someone who stays with you, quietly, no matter what, without any pretense or elaboration.

I am so excited that you liked the story because I was a bit nervous about having you read it when it went in such a different direction from just being about Valentine's Day. This was a really fun challenge, I liked it a lot! Keep thinking of them!

Fantastic. Completely and utterly fantastic. I really have no other words. This may be the best one-shot I have ever read. Amazing.

Author's Response: Wow, that is amazing praise. I really appreciate that, I can't tell you how much. Thank you!

Love. There's only one word I have for this one-shot, I usually am not a fan on one-shots because I dont't like how abruptly they end. However, this story was complete from beginning to end. I liked how Pansy and Astoria were tied together.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am so glad that this turned out well. Normally Valentine's day is something I would avoid like the bubonic plague, so I had to try and give it my own twist :] It was a good opportunity to address the Pansy-Astoria issue.

This was such an amazing story! You developed the relationship so well, the character, the fear, the emotions, everything. And the ending was so unexpected, so out of the blue. An incredibly original idea and you pulled it off brilliantly. 10/10 :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am really glad you liked it. Someone challenged me to write a Valentine's Day story and, as the least romantic/fluffy person on the planet, I had to see what I could do to make it more interesting. I am so glad you liked the idea! Thanks!
