4th July 2011:

This is cute, too! I've never really thought about Victiore and Scorpius together before. It made me smile when Scorpius failed at giving her a compliment. That was just adorable! I also liked how you gave the background info on how the three became friends. Very cute :)

Author's Response: I'd never really thought of them either, but this was a secret santa request so I went for it. I'm actually a bit fond of the pairing now, oddly enough. Thank you again. You're so kind. :D --Jenna

Never have I ever read a Scorpius/Victoire fic. The age would've usually turned me off. But this seems like such an awesome possibility! (And you addressed the age, too. That makes it even better.)

I said that you're cute. Now you're supposed to compliment me back, she clarified.

Author's Response: I never really considered the pairing until it was requested for the Secret Santa exchange we had. Now I kinda like it. Yeah, the age thing is kinda close to my heart, so I liked exploring the different sides of how it can be seen. :) Thank you soo much! --Jenna

Review #3, by ericajen It's a Date

25th February 2011:
Hello! Ericajen from the forums.

First off, let me say this: YES!! SCORPIUS/VICTOIRE. There should be more of these. Honestly. I think Scorpius/anyone not Rose is just really interesting and unique. Good choice of ship!

I thought it was really cute. I loved the way Scorpius fixated on Victoire's hair, it really showed how smitten he was with her. Also very adorable how he kept blushing; it's nice to see Scorpius not completely arrogant and self-important. The backstory of his friendship with Albus and Louis was also a nice touch.

Victoire's character was a big highlight, too! I was so happy when she didn't just brush Scorpius off like a kid and ignore him. It worked way better having her be accepting. I've always thought of her as very likable but sometimes she's portrayed as cold and cruel, so this was a nice change.

All in all, well done! It was a really great piece.

Author's Response: Hey, thanks for coming. :)
Oh, I agree on the anyone-but-rose front. I can't take credit for the ship choice though. It was a gift fic. ^.^

Thank you! I really wanted to show a soft and almost dorky Scorpius just to really give him an edge from the way his father was. Glad that you liked my take on him. I've always wanted to use that tiny backstory, so I'm happy I finally found it a home. Lol.

I know what you mean, I don't like when Victoire is all harsh. :( I like her sweet and caring. I mean, she was raised by a flock of affectionate Weasleys. :D

Thank you so much for your nice review!! --Jenna

Review #4, by Nynfadora It's a Date

21st December 2010:
So, my Christmas present to you, and thank you pressent for all the advice, was to leave a review on a story that I hadn't read before :-)
I've never read a Next Generation story before, but fromwhat I know about them they're usually Rose/Scorp, while this was completly different to that (Which is great, as that pairing had always put me off slightly!)! I love this, especially the description at the very beginning of the story, where Vic's hair was being described- it fitted Scorp's actions and feelings towards her really well, so that in the first paragragh the reader already had a clear image of him brooding and watching over her, clearly in love.
The interaction between the 3 boys reminded me how I always picture the marauders- joking around casually, the way you switch from love-struck-ness to just a joke around- really nicely done :)
Scorp's overall charactor was so sweet, with him getting all embaressed and being all self conscious- its a nice difference from the overly cocky teenagers, which are allright in small doses, but unlikly for a entire list of charactors.
The direct speech is so good! I LOVE the way he stuttes- again this matches up with his shyness, and makes perfect sence, building a firm charactor :D
Overall, I loved EVERYTHING in this, and not a single fault! It all pulled together to create a straight, simple yet effective plot.

Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year :D Thanks so much for everything!

Author's Response: Aww thank you!

I'm right there with you on Scor/Rose. I don't like it. :P Seriously, making me blush with this review. :D

I'm glad that you found the boys to be...well boys, so to speak. Haha. I have a tendency to girl up my guys a bit, so yay!

I agree there. I don't like over arrogant fellows. I can see a few of the Next gens being that way, but for some reason, I always imagined Scorpius as a sweetie. :D

You're so kind! Thank you again. And a Happy Holidays to yourself as well!! --Jenna

Aw :) Thank you, Santa!

This was just absolutely adorable. I can't even sum it up in words. I love love love that Scorpius is a Gryffie! :D

And heheh. "I get dry hands - don't look at me like that!" = possibly the best line in the entire chapter.

I love how Scorpius reacts to Victorie's presence. He's such a little goofball. :)

Thank you so much for my prezzie! *happy dance* Happy holidays!

Author's Response: Yay! I'm so glad that you liked it. :D
*joins dance* Happy Holidays to you as well!! --Jenna
