Intriguing... I enjoyed it quite a lot. You need to fix a few issues though, such as:
"It was several hours after had been an hour"

I'm assuming you changed your mind, but little things make a huge difference.

10 out of 10 as long as you fix the grammar & typoes

Author's Response: Yeah, even I was surprised when I wrote it! it was one of those things where I just started writing with no idea of how it's going to go; i knew something was up, but what? and then when i finally got to the end and wrote that sentence, i was like, "oh." and realized that it was the only thing that made sense to write.

Cool beginning, looks like a setup for a pretty interesting story. Your summary really drew me in, because I can't help but like heroic characters. I really liked the way everybody has been shown so far, and I'm looking forward to more of this :) Well-written, well-imagined, and well-told. I do like chapters a bit longer, but you said that was coming, so... good ^^ 9/10
