Hmmm.. I remember staff challenge #7! I thought about it, then decided it was too hard :P
So I congratulate you for using the quote in a different manner, and for writing this little scene! You gave me a little more in depth insight to Ron's feelings of that night. LOVELYYY(:

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! :)

Review #5, by ericajen The Yule Ball

25th September 2010:
Sorry it's taken me several days to get around to this! Seems I've been pretty busy (and maybe a bit lazy).

Anyway, I really liked it. I think you captured Ron's feelings pretty well in this. I especially liked the opening paragraph, because it really drew me in with the descriptions and I thought it described his feelings about the entire thing nicely.

What got my attention as I was reading was that I was getting this sort of feeling as I was reading it. I'm not sure how exactly to describe it but the story just kind of flowed through the night with this simplistic ease that really got me. I thought it was very nice.

There were just a few mistakes I caught. I won't be a big stickler and point them out since they're so minor; there were just a few missing quote marks that I noticed. Not more than one or two that I caught.

I thought the entire story was done very well. Ron and Hermione can be very sweet but they can also be very tumultuous and I think this one-shot caught that perspective quite well.

Well done(:

Erica.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad that you thought it flowed good, and I'll look for the errors! :)

Review #6, by blueirony The Yule Ball

24th September 2010:
Reading this, I felt a bit embarrassed. I was one of the very few people who did not pick up on the Ron/Hermione signs during Goblet of Fire. How I can have missed them, I have no idea but I always look back and laugh at how stupid I was to have missed them.

There are lot of Ron/Hermione stories out there. What I loved about this that I think others do not have is that you really nailed their ages. You remembered that the two of them are only fourteen in this and you made them act, think and speak like they are fourteen. It is just perfect and so appropriate to their age. Kudos to you on that point!

It's amazing how you haven't overloaded the reader with description, yet there is enough to make me satisfied and still be able to picture things in my mind's eye. That's a really cool thing. You have just the right amount of description and I really liked reading this!

This was such a cute take on the challenge and I really hope you enjoyed it!

Joop :]
