This was a great story. (: It was really well-written, and you wrote about Lily the way I always imagined her: still caring for Severus, but not ever letting go of her pride to let him know.

One question, though: Was this a letter to him, or just her deciding this in her mind?

This was a beautiful reinterpretation of the Lily/Severus relationship. I don't think it was necessarily out of canon. We only ever see glimpses of Lily, so it's impossible to say what her feelings were after the mudblood incident. Regardless, this was a beautiful, well-written one-shot.

That was so fantastic!! I could see Lily so vividly thinking back on everything, as though she was talking to him. It was so beautifully sad I almost cried at the end (: ; you could see so clearly how much their relationship, and it's end, had shaped her life so completely.
