Hello! This is an incredible story! I love how they mixed the classic story of Pride and Prejudice with the Harry potter Saga. I am an aspiring writer and let me say you made me come to realize how much i love what i do. You have so much talent, i felt the emotions of the characters so vividly. I love this pairing and you gave them such life. The story actually worked and wasn't extremely gushy to the point of ridicoulous. Their love story progessed in a very beliavable and heartwarming way. Iv'e read this story sevearal times. Much love and good wishes.

It has always been a goal of mine to make this ship workable in the realm of cannon. I have also played about with trying to use the cliches in new and fun or completely over-the-top ways.

But with this story I really wanted to show a proper love, a love that comes from understanding and accepting the other person, their flaws and faults as well as their good points. Too often lust is called love and the love between the characters is illogical and has no depth.

I wanted this to be something special, something more, something real (just like the love).

I am glad you enjoyed it and I am actually toying with teh idea of doing a "Persausion" - esque Draco and Hermione romance.

The "author" renamed the story "Masquerade" on the website "quotev". It's the exact same story.
The same person also seems to have taken another story from another author (Contours by GrffindorGirl153) and posted it there.

I like to experiment with different ideas with Draco / Hermione romances.

This one is where I wanted it to make it seem as real as possible, to make you want them to be together and it seeming like it could almost be cannon and avoiding cliches.

I've got a few on the go at the moment where I am playing with the ideas of the genre cliches:

One serious where I make it into a workable story of the two at Hogwarts (delving into Hermione's emotional state in an unexpected way)

And another that takes the cliches and plays with them, also turning it into a bit of a battle of the sexes between them. (Balls! Beauxbatons! Birth Secrets! Beautifully made over Hermione! and more!)

Its really fun playing with this partnership as the dynamic between them opens you up to some really interesting opportunities for dialogue (snappy back-and-forth wit battles, flirtatious banter, full on arguements... so many possibilities)

Apparently I have already read the first chapter of this story and I do not remember doing so. I have re-read it and I thought that it was very-well written as was this chapter. I re-read the review I left for the first chapter and am still at a loss as to why I reviewed way that in the first place, It was excellently written. CONGRATULATIONS. You successfully combined my two absolute favorite books. I've never seen the story of a classic like Pride and Prejudice so beautifully blended with a masterpiece like Harry Potter. I've always hated the Dramione "ship," and somehow, you made me fall in love with it. You didn't oversexualize the plot or insert unrealistic moments of sickening romance, which is so common in works of fan fiction. Although there are always places that could use some improvement, this was a work of genius, and by far the best fanfic I have ever read. It was refreshing and satisfying to read. Thank you so much for putting the time and effort into writing it.

I love this story < 3 . The plot is awesome. Really, I don't know hoW such an awesome plot can exist. And I also liked the Epilogue, it's very similar to the one written by Jo Rowling and this makes the story seem more real, and, to me, it makes it unique and it's something that will make me remember this story.

I wanted to make this story as real as possible, to make it seem like it could have REALLY happened.

That is why the romance between them had to take place post Hogwarts. It's why the romance had to take so much longer to build and why I had to take those interpretations of Ron's character.

I wanted this to be a romance where you are rooting for Hermione to choose Draco. Not because he is wealthy, not because he is attractive or they are helping each other recover from the wounds of the war but because it seemed like the only logical and natural choice. Because they understand each other. They bring out the best in each other and they could never be as happy with anyone else because they each completely accept the other, faults and all.

I got to thinking "What is a realistic Draco/Hermione romance set up?" It had to be one after the war, he's too much under his parents / Voldemorts thumb beforehand to make something work.

Also it had to be a slow going process. Attraction takes an instant but Love takes time, understanding and acceptance to be real.

It bothers me when attraction or infatuation is called love.

Love is being there everyday, good times and bad with complete acceptance of the other person. You don't have to like every part of them but you need to understand that it is part of them and you can't really change it.

And finally it had to cause both people to change and grow, to become more than they currently are.

Good story so far- the problem with fanfiction is that after you finish a novel and get used to the characters, you start another one and suddenly Pansy is not nice and caring anymore and she's annoying...

i dont want to criticize but i think that you pictured molly weasly really wrong, because she usually more like always knows when one of her children mess up...i mean i love the story and i know that you are the writer but i dont like that 'cause molly would yell at ron and he would be gutless ;) ( i know i know you are the writer and writers dont always satisfy what a reader want but still i had to write u that 'cause u messed up the character of molly, but others i think you got pretty right, specialy ron...he is such an idiot)

Author's Response: Thank you for your review. I was more chanelling Molly Weasley re her treatment of Hermione when she thought she was Harry's girlfriend. Remember how cold she was back then? Ron is her child so naturally she will side with him and be a right cow to the person she thinks has wronged him.

She is completely wrong in her understanding the situation but she is a mother.

I came at this (after getting the idea) from a place of "what is the kind of Draco - Hermione romance I would really like to read?" and then the answer became simple: A believable love story where both of them had to come together and it could only seem like the logical choice.

I sometimes find that Draco and Hermione come together under lust and it is called love. I wanted one where it wasn't their looks, blood status, money or need that drove them to want to be together, rather they had come to know, understand and appreciate the other person to the point where they could not imagine a life without them.
