Kudos on a good story. I had to re-read Lineage since I was away from the internet for a long time it was just as good as the first time i read it. On to this story Im just getting aquainted with it but I love it already I also believe it might have been an old family member that stole Isabella I believe I never read anything about anyone getting caught in the murders of both Ellie and her mother not that the story got so far as that but still lolAuthor's Response: Thanks mystic05! Glad to hear you're enjoying the stories so far! - Anders - Report Review
Wait...if my observation skills are right, and since I only started reading this series after I saw the banner/summary for the third part, Quinn is looking at a picture of Elli when she had been impaled by the fireplace stick.thingy. If by that picture, and that picture alone, Quinn thinks Elli is dead, than maybe she isn't? Plus, in the last book, Elli said that she need to separate herself from her sister and brother. She could have lied about telling Quinn that she was alive. But, I could be wrong, and my 'observation skills' are on level zero. Just sayin. And also, love the chapter and series! LiliAuthor's Response: Hi Lili! I actually never thought about that scene in that particular way before. Unfortunately, however, Quinn knows Ellie is dead because her body was recovered by Aurors soon after the attacks occurred (she didn't go with them because she would have had to leave the Floo powder behind, which would have allowed the Death Eaters to follow them to her grandparents' home). She, and their mother, were buried in the town graveyard. That would have made a wicked good plot twist though! And thank you so much for letting me know your thoughts and that you're enjoying the stories so far. I love getting feedback from my readers! - Anders Report Review
Oh, I'm so glad I found this story again! I really enjoy your writing. The ending was a bit fluffy, but the deep scars of the characters really balanced it out, giving me, the reader, a sense of hope, but knowing that things are far from perfect, which, I think, takes quite the amount of skill. Can't wait for the third installment!Author's Response: Thanks Chemical_Pixie! I always enjoy hearing from you. :) I've set July 31, 2011 as the release date for "Legacy" mostly because I haven't been motivated and need to get my act together. So keep an eye out! - Anders - Report Review
Woohooo! Go number 260! Report Review
yay another chapter. It's really heading to a great conclusion. I am glad to read you are doing a third story as I have enjoyed your first two.Author's Response: Thanks davo! Glad to hear you're enjoying it (and that you're happy about a third installment)! - Anders - Report Review
What a brilliant sequel! I like Quinn, he's trying to be all grown up but he's still got a lot to learn! Your characters always have depth and the plot is very well thought out and original. Now I have to read on...Author's Response: Hahaha. . . Thanks Essie! I've always loved getting your reviews and that certainly hasn't changed one bit. Quinn does have a lot of growing up to do and, sadly, it's because he lost whatever childhood he may have had when his family was destroyed. And thanks for compliments! :) - Anders - Report Review
Hahahahaha! Fabulous last line! Very exciting update!Author's Response: Thanks! I figured adding a bit of humor from Felix at the end would help keep you from vomiting because of Roni. lol. - Anders - Report Review
Roni's actions at the very end makes me laugh, but it also leaves me apprehensive for what is coming. I've really enjoyed your writing style. Quinn is now such a well rounded character; his relationship (or lack thereof) with his father is just heart breaking. I'm sad that there's only a few more chapters left!Author's Response: Hahaha. . . Yeah, I don't think anyone is going to see what's coming in the third and final installment of the Swift Chronicles. Roni did make me laugh when I wrote that part though, since it just reminded me so much of Hermione and Ron. Quinn's relationship with Isaac is heartbreaking, but I thought it would be best to have Quinn cut ties with him. Ellie would have gone through anything to repair a relationship with a family member, but Quinn is much less forgiving (probably because he grew up knowing his sister and mother were murdered and he felt guilty about it). And thanks for the compliment! I've started plotting out the third part, "Legacy," but I haven't had much time to work on it yet since I'm finishing up "Allegiance." I'm hoping to start posting the last installment by the beginning of next year. I'll see about actually updating my weebly account (it should be under the username: yearbookie101) about the story when I have more things decided about it. - Anders - Report Review
Nicely done. I can see where you're drawing your inspiration from completely. And it was good, very good.Author's Response: ::Bows:: I'd like to thank the Academy and Suzanne Collins and Rowling and. . . :) Report Review
You and your stupid cut off points! Not fair. I was wondering when dear BLake would be showing up.Author's Response: I win! ::Is proud:: Report Review
Ooh, very amazing chapter! Quinn is really starting to become fully dynamic, which is hard to do when writing (in my opinion at least). The Ben-Quinn interaction kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for more! And I hope that inspiration finds you because this is one of the better written fanfics I've found on this site. 10/10!Author's Response: Thanks Pixie! I don't think people have been quite as interested in this story as they were with "Lineage" (maybe because it's from a guy's perspective, but I'm not sure), so it's nice to get some feedback. :) - Anders - Report Review
Very intense, I say. I like all the banter between the three friends. Not only is it amusing to read, it shows how much they care for each other. Keep up the great work. I cannot wait for the next chapter!Author's Response: Thanks Chemical_Pixie. I always enjoy getting your reviews! :) - Anders - Report Review
Shannon Burton didn't get to speak a line? Blasphemy. Worst chapter EVER!Author's Response: Of course she didn't. Shannon Burton doesn't need to speak; she makes her feelings known without it. Report Review
Hahaha! You're welcome for the reviews! I am excited to see what mischief Loki brings to the table. Earlier dialogue was exceptional. Report Review
Can I barf now? Where is the Quinn that says "stupid baby"? He needs to get back to his old ways - no character development! ;)Author's Response: So long as you barf in Kerry's general direction and not mine. And don't worry, after the story is over Quinn will go back to most of his old ways. He and Isabella are just completely incapable of getting along for more than a week at a time. Report Review
Yay another chapter. I must say I do enjoy your stories, keep up the good work.Author's Response: Thanks davo! My posting schedule got kinda messed up a bit, but I'm hoping to have Chapter Nine entered into the queue shortly. - Anders - Report Review
“The profiles,” Ben answered. “It made them seem more alive and less like a character in a story. I read it and couldn’t fell detached from the situation, which is partly the reason why I agreed to speak with you today.” *fell should be feel Great overall though! Report Review
I'm liking this story as much as I liked Lineage. Can't believe I hadn't left a comment before this I thought I had. Your characters are awesome just as good as they were in Lineage. 10/10Author's Response: Thanks davo! Glad to hear you're enjoying them as much as I am. :) - Anders - Report Review
I have read this and "Lineage," and I must say that this is a very intricate "subdivision" of the Potter world you have going on here! The Swifts are very enjoyable to read. 10/10. However, I have a question. Both Issac and Quinn have written for the "Prophet." Since writing seems to have become a family trait, is it possible that they're related to the satirical author Jonathan Swift?Author's Response: ::Grins:: I was wondering if anyone would get that connection. I actually chose the last name because of how hysterical John Swift is. From what I've plotted out, there is no actual family relation though. And thanks for letting me know you're enjoying the stories. It means a lot to hear that. :) - Anders - Report Review
Nice work. Quinn is a new style of narration for you and I'm quite fond of it. However, there are a few verb ending errors throughout the piece: "excited" should be "exciting" and there was one more closer to the beginning.Author's Response: I purposely left those in so you could have the honor of correcting me. :) - Anders - Report Review
