I was ready to Avada Kedavra Jo's butt for having killed off our beloved Fred. Now, upon reading your amazing writing again, my fingers close around my wand and it emits a few nervous, green sparks, as I raise my hand and my lips form the incantation. Sorry, gotta go and grab a Kleenex. It's just heart-breaking. Brilliant writing!Author's Response: aw, thank you! i'm very happy you liked it :) Report Review
This was - this - this was SO SADDD *Bursts into tears* But it was sad in a happy way, like there was an understanding that life was going on and that it was ok to still miss Fred. It was just a peaceful story, for me anyway, and it accepted that death is something that can't ever really be understood. It honestly made me cry! It made me miss Fred so much!! A very lovely story that was simple yet delivered great emotion. 10/10Author's Response: thank you so much! Report Review
My goodness, I must admit, my throat got a bit tight reading this one. You know that burning you get behind your eyes when you know tears are pressuring you? Whoo! This was beautifully done, in my opinion. Aside from a few grammatical errors here and there, I have no issues. You should try to refrain from using conjunctions like "it's" too much. Another helpful tip, you should never begin a sentence with the word, "and", unless you are writing dialogue. I have always been a huge fan of Fred and George. They lived life to their own beat and didn't hesitate to add a bit of spice and humor to the dark times they were thrust into. I thought your death sequence was comforting, while wrenching a cord in one's heart at the same time. It was nice to hear that George has created a happy life for himself in your story. Angelina was a particularly warm detail from Hogwarts-past. The part with Molly studying his face in an effort to catch a glimpse of her lost son was what really put me over the edge, though. I really enjoyed this one-shot fic, and I would like to thank you for requesting a review, and bringing it to my attention. If you have any more suggestions, please do not hesitate to bring them my way :)Author's Response: Thank you! :) Report Review
I started to tear up even before I opened this fic. I still can't believe that Fred is gone even after more than two years. This was a good fic. You write beautifully.Author's Response: thank you so much (: Report Review
Wow. Just, wow. Usually I would start off one of my reviews with a peppy "Hello! This is foundriapenguin from the forums!" But the effect of this story is really settling over me, like a blanket of calm. I'm not in the mood for that. I'm in awe. Deep, deep awe. You're a wonderful writer! I've actually read and favorited some of your stories before, and I'm honored that you've requested a review from me. This one-shot is a wonderful little package. You should wrap it up, top it off with a big bow, and give it to someone for their birthday. Unless you've already reserved it for Fred Weasley... (; Awesome job! 10/10! ~foundriapenguinAuthor's Response: I'm very glad you liked this (: thanks so much for this kind review! Report Review
I actually have tears in my eyes. I think I'm having an emotional day anyway but that line about Mrs Weasley holding his face between her hands and seeing Fred too was heartbreaking. In fact that last section, with George talking to Fred made me tear up. Very well written and yeah, a really good read =] Poignant, beautiful and moving. spam_up_samAuthor's Response: thanks so much for this kind review (: made my day. Report Review
