This is one of the best one shot I have read in a long time. I cried pretty much the whole time throuh this story, from pretty much as soon as it was sirius's perspective. I thought you portrayed sirius very well as a character, with all his varying emotions towards James ad towards the end of the story Harry as well. All the bitterness, self hatred, feeling of loss and towards the end the feelings of sad acceptance. Thanks for this one shot,it was really excellent.

My heart aches every time I read this story. My eyes produce rivers every time I read this story. I fall in love every time I read this story.

I love this so much. I can't tell you how many times I've read it, and each time I cry while reading it. It really is a moving piece, and you captured Sirius' overwhelming feelings and emotions perfectly. I honestly don't think anybody could've done it better than you, besides JKR, herself.

I love this, I really, really do. I have always wondered, why people only symphatizes with Harry 'bout losing his parents. I've always thought that it was far more terrible at Sirius' point of view, that it hurt him so, so much. This story brings that all so perfectly out that I can't even describe it! Oh my goodness. This story has made me cry more than i ever have for any other fanfiction...and you were able to do it in a one-shot. This is so utterly brilliant. I literally STILL have tears rolling down my face and snot dripping from my nose (not a pretty sight, let me tell you!) I loved how you wrote this story in a bunch of letters (i guess you could call them that?)
