Interesting plot! I really like the drastic measures Voldemort is going through to send messages to "blood-traitors". Trying to kill a Hogwarts students under Dumbledor's nose is very eye-opening indeed.

I would kind of like to hear more about the attack on James at his house over the summer. Maybe what actually happened and how James and his parents dealt with it (besides going into hiding).

Great start! I look forward to reading more.
